COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

Pours a dark cloudy amber-brown. Aroma is citrusy with some fruity tartness - reminds me of pressed apples. Taste is very powerful and complex, tons of flavours mixing together. Initial reaction is of peppery alcohol, but quickly mellows into a bitter smooth lingering. Palate feels a bit heavy on carbonation - foamy. Finish is long and warming.

Dark ruby color, small steady beige head. Dark fruits, some toffee&caramel in the nose. Medium-bodied, thinnish for this ABV. Caramel, alcohol, raisins in the carbonated mouthfeel. Darker version of Leffe 9°. Simple.

Brown pour with tan head and lace. Aroma is raisins and roasted malt. Flavor is raisins and brown sugar. Medium bodied with good carbonation. A very nice beer.

Serving this right out of my cold fridge. Poured with a larges, foamy, frothy, light brown head that fades after a bit and a little lace. Color is a hazy/cloudy amber brown. Aroma is a nice blend of malt, yeast, hop, honey, caramel, toffee, and root beer. Flavor’s pretty much the same. Body is decent and think it would be much better served at proper temp. Don’t pick up any orange in it anywhere. Finish is like flavor and on the short side with alcohol at the end.

tulip glass at the brewery, poured out of a 750. hazey reddish brown color, perfect medium head. I thought this was going to have some bite, but it was a nice smooth belgian. Citrus notes.

A wonderful rendition. Nice to look at in the glass, wonderful nose and a malt balance that is nearly to die for.

Serving: 750 ml. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg.
Aroma: You can definitely get the Belgian influence in this one. That distinct yeast note is there followed by candied orange, honey, spices, and dark fruit.
Appearance: It pours a dark brown with a frothy tan head that has good retention. Nice lacing left behind.
Taste: Reminiscent of the nose but deeper. There is a bit of sweetness to pair with the spicy Belgian yeast, candied dark fruit notes, and honey. Very nice and with lots of depth. The alcohol is there, but more in a warming sense.
Palate: Medium bodied with high carbonation and a spicy sweet, medium finish. Very drinkable.
Overall: A very enjoyable brew that is also very accessible. Definitely recommended.
