First of all: I was rushed, so this review will be short. Super frothy off-white head atop a medium-brown, almost cloudy orange body. Fruity, spiced aroma. Palate is comfortable, and the flavor is really delightful. Fruity... a great balance and recipe. All around, a fantastic beer. I had no idea...

Bottle, pours an amber brown with a medium head. Aroma of honey, citrus and orange peel. Complex flavour of much the same. Great beer, though I prefer Local 1.

Dark honey colored pour with a tall foamy eggshell head. Aroma is faint Belgian yeast, spice, buttermilk biscuit and maybe a hint of raisin. Flavor includes banana, caramel malt, and citrus. Medium mouthfeel.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 MereLikesBeer (195) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - MAR 11, 2010
I shared a bottle of this last night with BeerBaron617. I have to agree with much of what he said. It was a really tasty beverage, and a very nice contrast to Local 1, although I think I like 1 better. This was dark and rich, while still having a nice mouth feel - make that incredible mouth feel...light, carbonated, and it was warming, but not overly so...it’s like any awkward warming you might get from a beer that doesn’t hide it’s alcohol well is not present, but you get a nice warm feeling. It has a very subtle aroma of dark fruits and apples, but also reminds me of campfire...? Taste is similar. I defiantly will be having this again.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 WLG423 (167) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 11, 2010
Dark almost black body with a caramel colored head. Aroma is has notes of citrus peel, mostly grapefruit with some orange, and honey. Body is medium with a watery mouth feel. Flavors are doughy with some toast and honey. Finishes out with a slightly bitter body. Ok, but not as good as I expected for a Belgian strong.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BeerBaron617 (358) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - MAR 10, 2010
Shared this 750ml with my best beer bud, MereLikesBeer, and we thought this stuff was really really great. We also had the Local 1 back in August, which we thought was better, but this is awesome. This poured a dark amber, with big fluffy white head. The aroma is quite bready, with some slight apples and raisin. The flavor was also of raisin, subtle caramel, and bread. The alcohol is warming, and it’s quite carbonated, which made for an excellent mouthfeel. Very good contrast to the Local 1. Cheers!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 porterhouse (1482) - Alna, Maine, USA - MAR 7, 2010
(750 ml bottle from Bootleggers, cellared for 10 mos. after purchase) Pours dark brown with perhaps a hint of red. One finger of tan head recedes to a thin, lasting layer. Aroma of dark fruits, candy-malt sweetness and spice. Mouthfeel light, almost airy, very soft but with a detracting amount of fizziness. Flavor of chocolate, dark fruit and spice. Not spectacular but good.
