COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

Bottle. Pours dark, thick, with a confident, lively beige head. Aroma is sweet, of candi sugar, plums, caramel. Nicely complex flavors, sweet and earthy. The mouthfeel’s substantial, well carbonated. One to be sipped with appreciation. A pleasant suprise.

750ml bottle. Dark amber with biege head. Malt, grain, yeast, honey, some fruit; High carbonation, medium body, somewhat sweet with an undertone of bitter and hint of funk, long yeast and malt finish that dries out a bit.

Dark brown color with a great frothy head. Nicely carbonated with a slight sweetness and malty taste. Great lacing.

Nice Cherry, raisin, and toffee smell. Dark Brown with a light tan head. Sour citrus thin light body. And a harsh sour pomegranate aftertaste. Feels like it’s trying to be a Trappiste. Spicy taste of raisin, malt, liquorice and yeast. Taste really overwhelms the palate and eventually killed it. I had to nurse it a bit. Nonetheless, good attempt at a complex beer.

Dark amber color, smells like raisins/dates. Very thick, frothy head. Amazing taste, very sweet and spicy, caramel-like. Brisk aftertaste, delicious.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Dark amber pour with a large, fluffy off white head. Dark fruits - raisins, date, fig are prominant on the nose with a touch of sweet toffee. Good balance throughout of dark fruits and sweet caramel. Very nice, better than local 1

Good belgian strong ale overall. Dark amber color that tasted and smelled like stone fruits sprinkled with dark brown with a hint of coffee. Would go great as a dessert beer or a cheese plate.
