COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

Pours a dark brownish color with a thin beige head. Aroma is semi fruity, very faint, maybe on old bottle but very weak. Taste is very good. Deep malt structure and bready on the tongue, maybe some dark stone fruits. Very smooth velvety texture coats your mouth pleasantly. Just a fantastic beer that would be great to session (if it weren’t 9%).

750mL bottle on "clearance" at Publix for $3.00. Score! Pours an almost opaque mahogany with a pillowy tan head. Aroma heavy on sweet maltiness and candy. Flavor comes through with the distinctive Belgian yeast character alongside ripe fruit and a mild hoppiness. Palate is dry, somewhat thin, with plenty of carbonation. Good.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Stovner. Dark brown color, good foam. Aromas of malt, dried fruits, light honey and nice yeast influence. Medium/full body & high complexity. Some sweetness, good balance- but could have had some more balancing of sweetness in my regard. Still very enjoyable

Bottle pour@Braukunst Live München 02/2014. Na zradvi to turbo-itinerant motelpogo & mowbeer. Plum and candi sugar nose, with a hint of malaga rum raisin. Nice vivid yeast prickle, creating a perfectly creamy, velvet and light texture. Rounded off by some demerara caramel, whisky/rum barrel woodiness towards a thinner than expected paper finish.
