Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

Dark Belgium. Slightly sweet. Nice balance with fruit and caramel. Subtle honey provides some sweetness. Good brew

The most expensive beer I’ve ever bought, but it shows. It’s by far the best smelling beer I’ve ever had. It has hints of coffee, bitter hops and nuts. The beer holds its head beautifully and pours a deep, intense brown. The flavour is so complex it’s hard to sum up. There’s a big hit of fruit, toffee and malt but the bitterness is just right in order to compliment it. There is no way you’d guess it was 9%. A genuinely special beer. Feels special but has a drinkability that I’ve never seen in a beer this strong.

This Belgian strong ale is a hybrid of a dubbel and a wit. Medium brown with huge white head and medium lacing face a light citrusy aroma. Then lemon flavors meddle with caramel and Spicy Belgian yeast. Refreshing enough for an spring beer, but bold and warming for a winter evening.

This beer went very well with dinner. A shared bomber. The 9% alcohol is masked very well by the strong malt and hop flavors. The yeast is a strong player here and adds complexity and some uniqueness.

750 ml. Bottle. Poured dark brown, BIG frothy and pretty decent lacing. Aroma mostly fruit, malts and yeast. Complex taste, fruits and malts, the alcohol is there to warm you up too. Overall very nice and enjoyable beer. Like it quite a bit.

Caramel and alcohol aroma. Dark Brown with small head that disappears quickly. Simple sweet taste. Sweet palate that lingers.

"Pours a dark tea brown, tall tight off white head, good lacing. Head is sustained leaving substantial lacing. Aromas of light ripe fruits, some brown sugar and honey, Belgian yeasts, very very slight orange zest, malts. Flavor is slightly sweet from yeasts and honey, nicely lingering, nice ripe fruits, light bananas, yeasts and sweet maltiness.
