COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

Pours a dark brown with a big foamy tan head. Aroma is sweet, spices, citrus. Taste is sweet, citrusy (lemon and orange), some honey, and some darker fruits as well. I enjoyed this one a lot, but it is a little pricey.

dark brown with a strong earthy coffee aroma. Sweet with a hot finish. Very drinkable but not to my taste.

Hints of citrus and honey in the taste, this is one of my favorite Brooklyn beers.

A mahogany colored brew, nice head, smooth carbonation with sheets of lacing that run down my glass and rejoin the brew. Smell is really nice, sweet dark fruits, yeast, spices, caramel malts, a little chocolate. Taste is very spot on for what I expected. Great spiciness, plenty of dark and mid fruit flavors, nicely yeasty, quite sweet yet strangely dry all at the same time. Downright delicious. Feel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation, a lightly bitter, fruity aftertaste lingers. Drink is good. I like this beer. For my first try of this brewery, I certainly want to try Brooklyn’s other offerings too.

Dark caramel colour, light citrus nose. Malt, honey, and citrus of course, as well as a fair bit of something i just can’t place right now. Want more. anyone want to go to New York to get some for me?

Considering that the Local 1 is one of my favorites, I expected a lot from their take on a darker belgian. It has flavors of sweet malts, chocolate, and of course honey. Could have finished with a bit more defined flavor, but it didn’t disappoint. Not quite on the Local 1’s level, but still very good.

Pours a dark cloudy amber-brown. Aroma is citrusy with some fruity tartness - reminds me of pressed apples. Taste is very powerful and complex, tons of flavours mixing together. Initial reaction is of peppery alcohol, but quickly mellows into a bitter smooth lingering. Palate feels a bit heavy on carbonation - foamy. Finish is long and warming.

Dark amber color, smells like raisins/dates. Very thick, frothy head. Amazing taste, very sweet and spicy, caramel-like. Brisk aftertaste, delicious.

This beer offers a hit of sweetness on the nose with caramel and roasted aromas too. The flavour is chocolate and caramel bliss. Another tasty offering from Brooklyn brewery

Bottle. Pours a coffee color with a thick tan head. Sweet aroma, honey and malt. Sweet citrus flavor that quickly gives way to alcohol and something more astringent. Spice throughout. Heavy carbonation. B+
