COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

A: Huge grape fruit note. Alcohol sweetness. Plum... maybe a hint of banana as well. A: Super dark reddish brown. Huge head.... (but not like from Regular Show...) T: Taste is actually pretty weak... although not off-putting. Super subtle flavors of grape, malt, clove a bit maybe? Alcohol is huge in the finish. There’s not anything wrong with it, per se, but it just doesn’t bring anything big. It’s odd with all the light flavors that the alcohol isn’t out of control (well it is a little bit but not bad...) P: Very dry on the palate. Very very winelike: subtle flavors. Delicate. Medium body. Sits well. Overall this beer is strange.... for the style this is killer, but as just a beer, it’s ok. The beer is extremely controlled but are also very very light. Drinks like an champagne with a tick more must. P:

Piwo smaczne i pieknie wygladajace. Piana obfita i bezowo fioletowa jakby, ale nie dosc trwala. Kolor granatowo brazowo rubinowy, gesty i metny. W zapachu sliwki i owoce borowki. Dosc zaskakujace piwo. Jedynka chyba lepsza byla.

Aromat: słodycz, cukier kandyzowany, czekolada. melanoidyny, lekki miód i nuta alkoholowa.Następnie wiśnie i śliwki kandyzowane. Barwa: ciemno brązowa, pod światło rubinowa. Piana beżowa, drobno pęcherzykowa, obfita i dosyć trwała. Smak: słodycz, cukier kandyzowany z lekką kwaskowością, następnie owoce (wiśnie, śliwki) i nuta drożdżowa. Goryczka niewielka, lekko wzmacniana przez słody. Krągła pełnia, umiarkowane wysycenie, kwaskowość i alkohol na finiszu.

(Brooklyn Local 2) Bottle 750 ml corked and caged, served into a tulip, ABV 9% Opens with a loud pop. Deep red brown colour on the body, mostly clear, with lots of activity in it, small but thick and creamy, light beige head on top. Very good retention, leaving medium lacing on the glass. Aroma of dates, raisins, wine notes, light alcohol. Taste has also wine notes, red grapes, prunes, lots of dark fruits, cork, alcohol, light caramel. Quite sweet but not cloying so. Medium thin body, high carbonation. Slightly sticky palate. Very good.

Appearance: Dark brown color, rich tan head. Cloudy with sediment. Aroma: yeast, brown sugar, bread. Taste: honey, ginger, some Belgian Wang, but ok. A touch of bitterness at the end. Feel: bottle fermentation makes is very bubbly. Well crafted beer, even though not my style.

Oh my dang! It's so good! Seriously every bottle is slightly different but it's very delicious. It pairs well with a fatty meal such as ribeye steak, marinated in crown and pineapple. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A 93-97(user - critic rating) is WAY too high IMO. If we were comparing American beers, then this rating MAY suffice; however, this is a similar rating to a Maredsous, Gulden Draak, Kasteel, Chimay, etc, etc. What this beer lacks is weight. It feels like it has all the right ingredients to make a BSDA, but lacks in the potency of flavor. A cheap imitation, in my book.

This beer was served too cold which ruined the taste initially. Once it warmed, it shined! The malty, dark fruit flavors were very apparent and the 9% was oh so smooth. Not a lot of lacing but the finish left me wanting more. BBL2 was a true winner in my book and ranks with the best...

Hazy brown color , good beige head. Aroma of dark fruits , yeast , spices and malt. Balanced taste of malt , fruits , some citrus , honey. Very gentle beer , especially for beer with 9 % ABV.
