3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A: Huge grape fruit note. Alcohol sweetness. Plum... maybe a hint of banana as well.
A: Super dark reddish brown. Huge head.... (but not like from Regular Show...)
T: Taste is actually pretty weak... although not off-putting. Super subtle flavors of grape, malt, clove a bit maybe? Alcohol is huge in the finish. There’s not anything wrong with it, per se, but it just doesn’t bring anything big. It’s odd with all the light flavors that the alcohol isn’t out of control (well it is a little bit but not bad...)
P: Very dry on the palate. Very very winelike: subtle flavors. Delicate. Medium body. Sits well.
Overall this beer is strange.... for the style this is killer, but as just a beer, it’s ok. The beer is extremely controlled but are also very very light. Drinks like an champagne with a tick more must.

Bottle. Dark amber-brown with a large, frothy off-white head. Aroma is caramel, hoppy, spicy. Flavour is sweet caramel, yeasty, spicy, overripe fruits. Raisins. Probably a little over carbonated. Nice though.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a somewhat murky medium brown with a fat fluffy tan head, great retention, and heavy, sticky lacing. Nose is mild, dark sweet malt, faintly spicy, and very little hops. Taste is honey-like sweetness, dark fruit (raisins and cherries), chocolate, and slight spiciness on a sweet dark malt base. Medium bodied, with a smooth and mellow texture and moderate sustained carbonation with a mildly bitter finish and mild warming.
Dark and sweet, very reminiscent of a Belgian Dubbel like Chimay Red, but with more pronounced warming. Almost as good as a Chimay Red, in fact, with perhaps just slightly less complexity and depth of flavour. Certainly the nose could stand to be more pronounced, though the flavour does go a long way to making up for that.

4.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Nice light tan head, fairly slow to dissipate. Aroma could have been stronger and more distinct but the caramel, spices and cola flavors are very good without too much booziness. Definitely a standout.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
The body is almost opaque and has a dark murky brown color with deep crimson highlights. Near the edges of the glass there are some streams of fine carbonation rushing to the surface. The pour produced a nice tall, thick and foamy head. It slowly fades down to a thin cap that hangs on till the last sip. Its aroma has full nose of dark sweet malt, funky yeast, spice and a hint of honey and hops. The flavor has a sweet dark malty base with some pleasant sweet honey, tart cherry and other dark estery fruit notes. Funky yeast, mild alcohol and some light spicy notes and add even more complexity. In the finish the hops pop out and add some mild bitterness. The texture is smooth and mellow with soft yet active carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From the corked, caged 750 ml. bottle. The pour is very attractive with its reddish dark amber tone and modest cream colored head. The grape and wine-like fruitiness really takes over the aroma but it has balanced off with toasted dark malts and yeast. The body is medium. The taste also has a definite fruitiness mixed in with the malts and tart bitter finale. Liked it to a degree.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle. Pours a dark clear mahogany with moderate head and lots of carbonation. Aromas of brown sugar, raisins, roasted malts, and metal. Flavors are same with additional hints of spice and honey. Lots of carbonation and a bit hot. A good Belgian reproduction.
