COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Oktoberfest was introduced in 2000. It is true to the original German style, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness. When Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria wanted to celebrate his wedding engagement in 1810, he did what any good Bavarian prince would--he threw a beer festival. Bothe the festival and the special beer served there became known as Oktoberfest. Brewed from the finest German malt and hops, Brooklyn Oktoberfest is true to the original style, fullbodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

Awesome beer. Reminded me of how I felt upon discovering Sam’s Octoberfest. Quality brew, well done by Brooklyn Brewery. Don’t get the lower ratings but to each his own. Bought a sixer, went back for a case and recommended to friends. Can’t wait to get more next September.

Pours a copper-golden with a thin khaki head. Funny there’d be a Mexican cervesa nose on a German märzen. Brooklyn is a reputable brewery so I can’t understand why they’d bottle something like this. Like a corona with a caramel flare.

Copper orange pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma is light corn and floral notes. Flavor is light sweet malt start with a touch of corn and floral hops. Not much bitter to speak of. Medium body with food carbonation. A touch of astringency at the very end. pretty good

Dark amber pour with lasting clingy white top. Looks great. Aromas of caramel and bready malt are nice. Flavor matches the nose, with some caramel sweetness and malty goodness. A little more carbonation than I like, but finishes clean. Very drinkable marzen.

Keg at the Fourteenth Colonie, Farringdon. Mid-brown, ever-so-slightly hazy with a bit of white head. Clean bready scent with some wood shavings and sweet herbs. Sweet, malty, balanced taste. The sweetness of the malt leads to a bitter/sour/sweet lip-smacking finish. Really nice.
