I just can't get into Oktoberfest beers. This was your typical malty OFest with a slight grape skin aroma. Couldn't finish it.

Bottle from Champanes,
the Brooklyn Oktoberfest had a clear red-brown (amber) pour and presented a initial one to two finger faint off-white head that receded to a thin cover, there was some nice lacing and no sediment in the bottle,
this drink had malty aromas with some toasted malt, malt sweetness, there was faint earth and leaf notes in the background,
it had nice flavors of malt, a little toasted bread, some malt sweetness, the finish had some bitterness with little sweetness, and a earth-leafy touch to it at the end,
the mouth feel was light and had a little bit creaminess on the tongue, it had soft to average carbonation,
this beer had a nice nose, it was sweeter on the nose than on the palate, a good Octy drink.

Keg at Draft House Tower Bridge. Deep reddish amber colour, clear, bright, looks splendid. Crisp lager with pleasant biscuity toasty malt flavour. Nice enough, flavour came through a bit as it warmed up. Drinkable but not super exciting, lacking that extreme drinkability of the best.
