3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 pootzboy (1450) - Hawgville, Ontario, - NOV 10, 2012Bottled: Pours a lush orange amber color with a tight sticky off-white cap which lasts and laces well. Big toasty-bready aromas, herbal-woody noble undertones - authentic Marzen aroma. The body and flavour are a let-down after the promise of the wonderful aroma - a tad on the thin side for the style and the flavour (although relatively authentic with toasty Munich red malts and noble hopping) is a both thin as well and with an overly dry finish. Other than these two minor issues this is a decent craft Marzen although I prefer Sam Adams to this version.

Bottle from Gurd. Extremely malty. Sweetly malty. Some bread dusted with Milo - perhaps like french toast or summat. Not really lighting a fire under my tackle.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jrodooo5 (489) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - APR 27, 2013
Trying an oktoberfest in late April is a little concerning but the beer seemed to be fresh and quite drinkable. Nice subtle spice aroma with the traditional deep orange transparent pour, the taste is true to the style. It’s a well balanced beer but not all that special. Decent!
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ShaneJ (83) - AUSTRALIA - APR 24, 2013
Bottle from Plonk. Amber/copper, true to style, bready malt aroma, sweetish malt with just enough hop bitterness to balance it out. A good attempt, enjoyed it more than some German originals.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Mora2000 (4040) - McKinney, Texas, USA - APR 2, 2013
Medium amber color with a white head. Aroma is full of toffee with some grassy notes. The flavor is very similar. I get some iced tea and toffee notes, as well as a little bit of grass and earth. Fairly sweet overall. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice American-made märzen.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Ferris (482) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 30, 2013
Bottle - Sweet malts and grain. Clear copper with a thin disappearing head. Grains and bread with a dry bitter finish. A bit too much grain and too little balancing sweetness.

Bottle from King&Godfree. Very tasty malty ale, true to style. Aromas of nuts, caramel, with hints of liquorice and chocolate. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and average length. Palate is oily, and medium bodied. Amber, with a thin head.

This isn’t bad, but nothing I would recommend. Taste and aroma are okay for the style. [short review due to it coming from my backlog]

Bottle. Bronze amber with a small fizzy white head. Nose is light caramel, cereal, toasty malts. Flavor is similar, a little metallic, earthy malts. Blah blah Blah marzen.
