COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Oktoberfest was introduced in 2000. It is true to the original German style, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness. When Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria wanted to celebrate his wedding engagement in 1810, he did what any good Bavarian prince would--he threw a beer festival. Bothe the festival and the special beer served there became known as Oktoberfest. Brewed from the finest German malt and hops, Brooklyn Oktoberfest is true to the original style, fullbodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

Tap at the Brooklyn Brewery. Very nice Marzen style beer. Nice complex flavors and rich mouth feel yet easy to drink. Beautiful deep reddish brown color. Diminishing head that leaves a nice lacing around the top. Smells great and nicely roasted malts. One of my favorite Oktoberfest beers.

quiet foam, speaks with air of class. Solid middle, like biting into a candy that has a harder candy center. The smell of fall. What an abundance of fests so far, almost one for each day of Chanukah. Not thinking goes over natural instinct lasts forever. Aftertaste goes on like fond memories, glossy postcards, words you feel in your knees, ticklish virginity. Could dilute this with 50% water and it’s still twice mich ultra. Mixes with pale ale like a cold aged bock. Just happy for all this motivation. Crickedy and surprisingly quiet places you find in town, maybe after the night wound down for most, but we still sayin prosit! Darkly tinted like fall holiday colors. Rich like what you want to consume before confronting a cold day on foot, perhaps in several types of rain, comes on strong like someone raised in a high density human environment, mellows but with backbone spineing into you for a while. Foam latte-like, because everything could use some latteing. This will latte your day all night baby. No Sleep.

Pours a clear caramel brown with a thin white head. Some light fall spices in the aroma. Simple flavors. OK but nothing special. Not bad but just not that good.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, Minnesota. Pours a semi-clear amber brown colored brew with an average sized off-white head that slowly dissipates. Aroma of roasted biscuit caramel malt, a hint of floral hops and a touch of maple. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of toasted caramel malt and earthy hops and a touch of biscuit. Finish is semi-dry at first then followed by a biscuity caramel malt with earthy hop bitterness. An Americanized oktoberfest with more biscuty malt profile.

Roasty caramel malty full bodied beer. Pours a rich reddish maple syrup color with a foamy flan colored head. Hint of hop and more roasted flavor than expected but a good drinker while grilling. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Acquired from Chopz via trade. :) Pours a slightly off white, foamy head. Has a decidedly amber copper appearance. Aromas are malty, wheaty and with hints of vanilla. Mouthfeel is a bit mild, somewhat mildly spicy. Weak lacing. Medium bodied retention. A bit carbonated. Flavours have a good balance of hops and malts. Not too bad US Oktoberfest brew.

Clear orange tan, almost no tan head. Brown sugar, some clove. Light lemon. Light bitterness, very sweet. Light body, some oiliness. Little carbonation. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. No hint of aroma. Flavor of caramel with a little bit of hop pepper cutting through it. Clean finish. Good, not great.

355ml bottle. Clear, dark amber colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Mellow malty aroma with a strawy touch and hay-like spiciness. Taste is slightly sweet caramel malty, cautious hints of toffee, a touch of hay-like spiciness. Slightly above average Märzen, mediocre overall.
