Tap at the Brooklyn Brewery. Very nice Marzen style beer. Nice complex flavors and rich mouth feel yet easy to drink. Beautiful deep reddish brown color. Diminishing head that leaves a nice lacing around the top. Smells great and nicely roasted malts. One of my favorite Oktoberfest beers.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazelnut. Malty. A little sour.
Looks fine. Amber red. Off white head dissipates quickly.
Taste is liken the smell. Lighter. Nutty. A little sour. Grape.
Palate is medium with a dry finish.
Pretty much the epitome of what a generic beer would taste like (which is not nessecarily a bad thing) nothing special nothing bad.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clear copper in colour with off-white head. Nose subdued but there are notes of nutty malt. Flavour is subtle nutty, toasty malts but I prefer bolder notes. The mouthfeel is thin. Blah.

From bottle. Pours dark Amber. Not much of taste. A bit watery and no real bitterness. Slight nutty taste. Not one of the better of style I've ever had

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours deep amber red. Two finger quick head, little lacing. Aroma of bread, toasted malt and light fruit. Taste is malty sweet, slightly bitter earthy hops. Light body, medium small bubble carbonation, clean mouth feel. Finishes bittersweet with notes of biscuit, toffee, nuts. Not the best for the style, but certainly not the worst.
