COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Oktoberfest was introduced in 2000. It is true to the original German style, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

Damn this is a pretty nasty verion of an oktoberfest. Amber pour. Very grainy and malty aroma...flavor reminds me of a bad dark lager. Macro flavors...skunk, caramel malt and sorry hops. Man I really didn’t like this.

Beautiful, clear, copper brew. Small, fizzy, off-white head with no lacing. The nose holds honey and light butterscotch. Perfectly balanced flavor with honey and caramel up front. Lightly pungent, astringent and bitter on the backside. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation and an oily mouthfeel. Medium-length, lightly bitter and dry finish. Very good brew!

12oz bottle. Poured a medium copperish color with an averaged size off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, caramel, and some breadiness. Tastes of the same.

Bottled. An amber coloured beer with a whitish head. Quite a clean crisp lager in both taste and aroma. Malty but not the same malts I would recognise in a German fest beer. More vienna like really. That said, it’s pleasant enough and an easy, but unexciting drink.

Some hop and carbonation. Malty and carmel finish. Light mouthfeel. amber colour and a little off-white head.Dry slightly astringent aftertaste. Certainly not the best representative of this style I have had. Just boring and nothing special.

12 oz bottle. Deep amber colour with a white head. Sweet malty aroma with plenty of deep caramelly munich malt. A touch of brown sugar as well but over it all is a lovely floral noble hop aroma. Flavour shows bready malt complexity over a bit of toastiness with lots of herbal and spicy hop notes. Lingering bready/spicy flavour. A nice marzen after two pretty poor examples.

355mL. Pours a clear, light amber with a small, white head. Small, decent lace. Nose is detergent with tea leaves. Taste is watery, soapy, tea leave tannic...pretty bad. Just very dull.

12 oz. bottle from Wine Warehouse. Strawberry orange pour with a large head and decent retention. Bready aroma with some grassiness. Taste is very bready as well, with notes of caramel, stone fruits and light hay. Full bodied.

Bottle. Dark amber with a small head. Aromas are toffee and weetabix malts with lemon, yeast and chocolate. Flavours are malty with some citrus notes. Chocolate and fruit with yeast and spices. Decent.

Clear rusty red and orange colored body. Nose full of biscuit malts and yeast esters, fruity esters even. Starchy aroma. Sweet and tangy flavors initially, with some strawberry and hay flavors noticed, zero bitterness up front, only a slight amount on the back. Bready and musty at times. Tastes fairly good.
