joeyplush (78), Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 26, 2008 Pours a dark mahogany with a yeasty, off-white head. Flavor is malty and sweet, with hints of caramel and honey. Slight hint of hoppiness as well, moreso than most Oktoberfest beers - not a surprise coming from Brooklyn. Alcohole is evident too, which surprised me a bit.
mgoy (289), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA Nov 30, 2008 I was able to try Brooklyn Oktoberfest on Election night 2008.
The beer is an amber brown color with a light brown head. The aroma is full of sweet fruits with a dry sweet hop.
This was an enjoyable beer for a very unenjoyable night. BEERGUY007 (202), Scotia, New York, USA Nov 29, 2008 orange color with a nice head that disappears quickly. A little lacing. Malty and carmel, a little lighter in flavor than I expected, but it’s nice. yespr (7817), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 26, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange to brown with a diminished white head. Fruity and dense malty aroma. Sweet malty and slight spiced to breadish. Vague roasted malty. Sweet caramel and slight breadish lingering into the finish. Pinball (817), Allerød, Denmark Nov 21, 2008 aroma can’t escape me feeling it as kinda cellary or skunky. not nice. clear red white head. flavor is sort of the samne but with some more finesse. GodOfThunder (160), Orlando, Florida, USA Nov 18, 2008 Pours copper with a fluffy white head with a slight peach colored tint. Smell is slightly metallic with some toasty malt shining through. Ultra-grainy taste but not too much bite. Lighter and smoother than many in this style. I’m not usually a fan of this style, but the flavor in this is subdued, so it isn’t that bad. For those who like this style, it would be lacking.
