COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

Straw color with a thin, but soapy and tenacious white head. Aroma of yeast with some hops. Smooth and crisp with a hoppy finish. Not a pilsner fan, but this one was good.

Pour was a light gold with a ring head. Aroma of corn and hops. Taste was light and refreshing. Dry and crisp with a suprising hoppy flavor.

Nice foamy head. Pours orangey gold. Smooth taste, lasting finish, little bit bitter. Dunno if I would run out for another.

The aroma has honey, incense, flowers, citrus, cardboard, and corn malt. The appearance is hazy gold with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma but not complex or even that good. The palate is thin. Overall it’s not good.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2008 Immediate hops that calms and evens out. Nice, at first I wasn’t sure. I am easily turned off by a hay characteristic. This uses it well .Nice clean taste.

A bit mild on the bittering hops for my taste. Definitely brilliant on a sunny day with its shiny orange label.
