COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

Bottle courtesy of mgermani: Poured a clear golden color pils with a big foamy head with good retention and great lacing. Aroma of dry malt with some light floral hops. Taste is a nice mix between dry malt with a light floral and dry hoppy finish. I noticed some spices which may be from the yeast strain that was used. Body is quite full for the style with some great carbonation. Well done.

I really like Brooklyn’s brand and have never really been disappointed in any of their beers. This one was also really good. I usually stay away from the pils. This one was nice and maltly and tasted more like a lager to me. It was good and I will buy it again.

Draft at the brewery. A light golden beer with a pure white head. This is probably one of the best pils outside bavaria. It is smooth and malty with just a touch of grassiness. It is light bodied and has a crisp and clean finish.

Bottle, Brooklyn. Not that far from their lager. Heavy flavor of hops, strange mixture of bitter and sweet. Harsh bitter aftertaste with moderate sweetness. A real mouthful of everything really. Pretty far from being subtle and balanced, yet it’s not bad. Foamy and creamy mouthfeel.

Single from Total Wine. Mild malt and hop aroma. For a pilsener this seemed pretty good. Not at all like the dog piss macro pilseners marketed so heavily here in the U.S. Good malty flavor and hoppy, slightly bitter finish. Still, its not anything great. Seems to have the signature malt/hop flavor of most Brooklyn beers. Just a little milder and tamer than the others.

12 oz. bottle my mother-in-law brought back from NY - Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a one finger thick white head. Light lacing. Aroma is spicey hops. Flavor is light cereal grain and hops. A little more bitter than your typical Pils. Light to medium body. Worth a try.

12 oz bottle from Quake1028; nose of grain; slightly hazy gold with a medium white head; flavor slightly bitter with a contrasting bit of light sweetness, the bitterness becoming more noticeable the more I drank and makng a nice finish.
