2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 piscator34 (1582) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 19, 2007
Light gold in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Nice aromas of honey, light malt, and a bit of spicy hop. It doesn’t quite measure up flavor wise though. The malt profile is a little fat (it stays "honey sweet" rather than malt), and even though there’s a fairly good dose of bitterness, it doesn’t integrate well with the rest of the package. There was a bit of a vegetal kick on the back end too, which reminded me a bit of alfalfa sprouts. Thanks to presario for the sample.

This is a very nice pilsener. The aroma is very fruity, and you certainly don’t have to stick your nose several centimeters into the beer to smell it, as it can be smelled far away from the glass. It is a beer with a full, little creamy body, and a nice fruity falvor with a LOT of bitter hops for a pilsener. It is way more bitter in it’s aftertaste than many bohemian pilsener i’ve tasted (even though the IBU isn’t as high)?

very light tasting, a grapefruitness about it, obviously hops are present, was surprised at the initital bitterness, but grew used to it and enjoyed

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Gold with a very nice long lasting creamy head and lacing. Although the aroma settles down quickly it starts out with a promise of a true Pilsener. Not as aggressive as some European varieties but there is a lot to be said for a fresh beer and a brown bottle. A touch sweeter as well. Enjoyable lasting hop bitterness. Maybe it’s a crossover Pilsener.
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Borrrris (110) - LINDENHURST, New York, USA - DEC 5, 2006
BOTTLE: Pils are not my favorite style, but this one seemed a good "intro to" Pilsner to me. Not as much pils character as others I’ve had, but that suited me fine. Light bodied, crisp, turns just a tad bitter at the finish. Not bad, but probably a disappointment to real Pilsner fans. Buy Again = maybe

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of pils malts is fresh and crisp. No hop scent. Poured golden in color with a small white head that diminished quickly. Clear. Sparkling. Not much flavor other than Pils malts and a little hop bitterness. Lightly bitter. Light body. Thin. Soft carbonation. Overall, just an ok Pils.

(Bottle) Pours light hazy golden. Light toffee-ish, biscuity, buttery malt aroma with light grassy tones. Very clean smell with some lemon. Clean, toffee malt flavour with a light bitter and buttery ending. Perfect carbonation. Small body. A very good pilsner.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2007 Obviously the place to have this is in Hong Kong. A brief stopover there takes me to the best beer bar in town. Why did I choose this? Simply an average beer with some pils characteristics but nothing special. Boring.
