COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a pale golden with small white head that dissapates quickly. Aroma is light hops, low carbonation, creamy texture, and light body. Taste is light malt, some bread, and some crisp hops in the finish. Pretty good pilsner.

clear yellow with a white head. faint german hops, light grain, and bread. smooth palate, hops are in the finish, malts and grain upfront, pretty refreshing.

Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet malt and floral hop. Flavor is light maltiness, crisp hops, and some fruity notes.

Pours slight cloudy in its goldenness from bottle. Has about an inch of foam and it leaves a lot of lacing. Slightly bready in its aroma. Fairly clean taste with a very dry finish. Was hoping for some hop flavor.

From Notes Nov, 2009. Tap at Brooklyn Brewery. Nose is grassy hops/wet hay and then sweet honeyish malt notes. Taste is also typical sweet grassy flavour and a dry finish. Not bad but then not blowing me away either.

Light yellow, good head. Aroma clean and light smell of malt. Taste is "green" hoppy with a bit of bitterness fading into light malt flavor.
