3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a standard golden pils color, with a lasting head. Crisp malty aroma. Taste sweet malt, with some earthy hops. I would characterize this as an American Pils; nice brew, but I just don't consider this a great example of a European pils. I consider Prima pils the quintessential American Pils--this is not at that level but it is a very drinkable beer, though. An example of a pils on the same level of this would be Goose Island Pils.

A refreshing Pilsner. Nothing complex, just a crisp Pils with a dry slightly hopped finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a slightly dark golden color with a medium sized head and some lacing. Slightly fruity, yeasty, almost hoppy aroma. Diactyl is certainly present in the aroma as well. Slightly malty, crisp, slight hop bite at the end. An average pilsener.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
I expect more coming from one of the most hyped brewers in the country. Aroma not as clean as I like, with Diactyl/DMS notes a little high.Malt/hop balance is ok, but a little DMS is noted in the flavor. Overall, not bad, but have had better.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Slightly hazy, straw-colored lager. Large, frothy, white head with weeping lacework.
Bold nose for a pilsener! Biscquits and chicken broth; light butterscotch and a bit floral.
A touch on the sweet side up front with a burst of clover honey and corn. Balanced by lightly bitter and tangy hops on the backside.
Light-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and lively carbonation.
Slightly sweet finish.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange gold color. Small white foamy quickly disappearing head. Aroma is grainy, grassy, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied pilsner. Malts are fruity and slightly sweet. Hops are very spicy for a pilsner. Very nicely balanced, Clean and crisp. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is a touch dry and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
It has a nice, orange golden color with a thin, fizzy white head. The head dissipates within a minute, leaving some bubbles and a thin ring. It has a nice pilsner aroma of malts and hops with some grass and hay notes. Light body with mild carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. The flavor is good and hoppy, with a long finish and final hop burst at the very end. Not my favorite pilsner, but definitely tasty and refreshing.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A true 3 beer if ever there was one. 12 oz. brown bottle. Best before September 2003. Poured out an orangish color, with not much head to speak of. The head faded to a curtain of lacing on top of the beer. Aromas are very subdued, not very prevalent in any manner. Slight vegetable aroma, they must use corn as an adjunct in this beer. Either that, or it is already past it's prime. Tasted ok, but nothing to write home about. Underhopped in my opinion.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap. Didn't like this as much as the last time I had it last year. I got a strong honey flavor from this, smooth, thin. Needs more hops to be a better pilsener. Go for the Brooklyn lager instead.

Clear light amber/yellow in color. Slight head fades fast. Background German hops and malt. Nothing extraordinary.
