COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

Pours a light yellow with active carbonation and a adequate head. Aroma is of malt and straw. Taste is crisp clean and refreshing. A great balance of malt sweetness with a bit of honey overtones offset by just enough hops to keep it interesting. Say goodbye to miller lite!

12 oz bottle in a Pils glass. Clear golden pour with minimal white head. Little floral aroma. Mild hoppy flavor. Fairly smooth and refreshing. Nothing that jumps out about this one. Very drinkable, but not great.

Out of bottle at The Tank for Off Off Broadway production. Light and crisp, nots of floral, grass, and lemon. slightly sweet. made the play more enjoyable though

Draft in a recyclable (corn-based?) plastic cup at the brewery. This was the underdog! Not expecting much, but right away, a noticeable caramel presence and fresh malty mid-palate quickly gave way to a hoppy dry finish. Light colored, light bodied, well-crafted: this in my opinion should be the Brooklyn lager, not that other one. In the end, I was almost a little disappointed because I was expecting more "individuality," but this was my favorite beer of the tasting.

Pours a straw yellow with a white head. Aroma of light sweet malts/fruits and a bit of toast and grass. Flavors of light fruits, grassy hops and brief notes of caramel pop up. Light body, crisp, lightly sweet with a dry/grassy hop finish. Nice brew overall, a little sweeter than I usually care for in a Pils but the nice dry/bitter finish makes up for it.

Was surprised by this. not a huge fan of pilsners but this was surprising. Started about a bit watery but finished is some herby bitterness, floral aroma. Yellowish color with not much head. Was a fine choice for a lighter beer.

Straw gold with foamy white head. Mild aroma with a faint grassy hop note, a bit of pale malt. Light bodied, easy drinking. Nothing special but a decent pilsner,
