COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

12 oz bottle. Golden pour, nice head. ORange zest and herbs in the aroma, subtle malt sweetness. Flavor is heavy on toasted malt flavor, subtle earthy and grassy hops. Oddish yeast character

Reviewed from notes. Consumed May 4, 2012. The appearance has a clear yellow colored body with no head, no lacing, no rings in my pint glass. A fair amount of carbonation was seen rising slowly. The smell has some sweet grains with some malts and breads in the background. The taste has some malts and breads with the sweet grains in the background. Some floral tones came out in the taste. On the palate, she sits pretty light, comes across pretty sessionable and crisp, and the carbonation was definitely felt in my mouth. Overall, I guess its not a bad beer, but nothing to scream about. From what I’ve read of other reviews, I was hoping for a better appearance, but was let down a bit. I’d probably only seek this out again if I found it on tap.

Pours a pale golden color. Clear and with a fat head of white foam. The appearance is perfection. Some bubbles race to the top and the head falls slowly leaving lots of lacing. The nose is Sweet grain and herbal. It’s got a bit of hop perfume on it and and is lightly lemony. The taste is clean , crisp and terrific. The mouthfeel is creamy but the carbonation is crisp so it’s a nice tease to the palate. The grain is just sweet and the herbal is a touch spicy. The lemony hops take the back end and bring this to a medium dry finish with a small little hint of bitter. Lively and malty this has plenty of flavor to keep you satisfied as you drink three or four of these.

12oz bottle, picked up today from Party Source. Best by Feb-28-2014. Mostly clear golden orange color. Thin white head. Couple dots and short ropes of lace. Minimal head overall. A lot of old, musty hop aroma in the front. Not the good kind of hop, nor the expected pilsnery peppery type of hop, just big musty basementy dusty hop aroma. Caramel malt, and light toffee. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Medium body. Sort of slick. Lighter, kind of crisp carbonation. Quite a bit worse and much less quaffable than expected.

"Very pale golden brown body that looks mildly hazy in my glass a modest sized head was produced but was gone after a minute or two a small skiff remained that was constantly replenished with good carbonation bubbling to the top.

Basic beer. Pedestrian. A little malty with lots of bitterness. A little chemicalness in the finish that I did not like.

On tap at the Big Hunt DC. Pours a clear gold with some fizzy white head. Nose is standard, some malt, a little honey, some grass, lemon. Crisp finish. Solid for the style.

12 oz bottle...straw pour with an off-white head...nothing fancy here...a simple pilsner...a decent easy going pilsner...average in all ways...a smidge of lacing...its a little sour at first, but that lessens as it warms up
