COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

All the hype previous raters had put on this beer was impossible for this to live up too. Bottom line, its a poor excuse for a pilsner.

355 ml brown bottle. Alc. 4.9% vol. White tiny head that quickly fades away. Pale yellow color? Clear. Nutty and roasted aroma. Watery mouthfeel. Hoppy bitterness. Flavor of citrus fruits. Some toffee-ness too (!).

Pours out a golden yellow with a decent white head. Very smooth and refreshing. a nice balance between the malt and the hops.

From the brewerys tap. Kind of boring and light beer. Plastic cups might not have been the best way to enjoy this beer.

OK, not the best pils I have had, but a damn good one. Pretty light colored, nice head, clear crisp taste with a bit of funkyness.

Great beer. Brooklyn wins again, though this is probably not even their finest beer. I admit, I’m biased. Pilsners are my choice, but still a winner regardless.

Pours straw with minimal head. Aroma is estery and slightly grassy. The maly flavor is noticeable but slight and the hop presence is lacking. Not much in the way of a finish either. I’ve had better.

love this pilsner. malty and earthy on the nose. tastes great. could drink one after another without a doubt. love the maltiness and the carb level. the slight yeast character is enjoyable and not overwhelming at all.
