2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
I would have expected more from the Brooklyn Brewery, but this one left me quite disappointed. Bland, boring, and a letdown.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Really a pleasant pilsner. Bright pour with a nice full proper head. Nose is mild hop, citrus and grass, with a clean malt. Flavor is clean bright citrus and not too bitter hops paired with moderate malt... Clean, crisp, and enjoyable.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle BB OCT 2014. Nose is caramel, lightly spicy with earth and toffee, little bit of must/body odor. Pale yellow with what looks like a little chill haze, a soapy bright white head, and an overabundance of fast carbonation. Watery light body with dry, papery bitterness, dry on the whole except for light juicy sweetness from the hops. Tons of lemony citrus, good and authentic noble hop extraction, very faint spice with cleansing properties on the side. Fresh and relatively clean, but not crisp despite the carbonation, and the metallic/chalky undertones in the far bg start to wear. A good one for volume drinking in the summer, as the pleasant bitterness doesn’t add up too quickly and there’s really no sign of alcohol.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Lazy Dog. Pours a transparent golden with a layer of creamy head. Taste and aroma of malts, missing that crispness I like in pils.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden beer with a foamy bright white head. Pretty mild nose of grassy hops, slight citrus, and a bit of wax. Flavor is quite a bit brighter with some pleasant fruit, like tangerine and lemon, followed by a mild bitterness without the funk of most pilseners. The finish is somewhat short, but smooth. This is a good, crisp beer that certainly quenches my thirst.

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – Pours a medium golden color with a two finger white head. The head last for ~ 3 min before fading as the big bubbles pop to give a lighter level of lacing.
Smell – The aroma is malty and bready with some lighter notes of a caramel sweetness. With these aromas are some lighter herbal and citrus hop aromas as well.
Taste – The taste begins bready with a very small amount of sweetness. The sweetness is lost quite rapidly with some bitter earthy hop flavors coming to the tongue. A light citrus flavor then develops at the end and when combined with the earthy hop, it leaves a bitter and dry malt flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body was rather thin in nature with a carbonation level that is slightly above normal. Both are quite nice for the drier style and make for one very easy drinking and refreshing brew.
Overall – Not a bad brew. It was rather lacking in some of its flavors and transitions, but it is quite refreshing.

On tap. Golden pour. Floral aroma. Flavor was pretty bitter. I would have liked to have a little more sweetness. Level of carbonation was high.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, best by October 2014.
Appearance: The body is clear with a golden amber hue, the head is short but hides the body from the top for a while with a white hue.
Aroma: The aroma is strong in presence from the hops which are providing a slight sweet gummy aroma, a touch of spiciness, an herbal presence and a whiff of skunk. As it sits for a second it becomes a bit medicinal and cloying.
Taste: A bit sweet with a firm bitterness towards the end. A slight astringency is noted towards the end. There is an herbal sort of medicinal almost tongue numbing feeling and flavor that lingers. A slight skunkiness shows up but it’s subdued.
Palate: Full-bodied, low to moderately carbonated. Not as crisp as I like.
Overall: There’s something odd about this that isn’t meshing with my palate in the flavor and aroma department. I would also like a little more crispness to this. It’s not bad, but it’s a hard sell next to Victory or Sly Fox.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours light honey color, with a small foamy head. Aroma is light hops, not much otherwise. Smells is a bit stronger and more pleasant than Heineken. Taste is crisp, refreshing. Light, but not as light as some other lagers, yeasty. Medium carbonation. Overall good for a pilsener, but I wouldn’t drink this if it wasn’t summertime.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body under a one finger fizzy white head that had really nice retention. The nose is mostly bready pale malt with just a bit of floral hops. The flavor isn’t quite as clean as I was hoping for, the hops are pretty lacking for my tastes. The malt has a bit of a bland cereal grain taste to it. It just doesn’t quite taste as well lagered as I would expect, the finish isn’t very crisp at all. The minimal bitterness level doesn’t do anything to help the situation either. Light bodied and a little clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. Not up my alley as far as Pilseners go.
