COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

Aroma wasn’t that bad, sweet a bit berry like. The taste was not true to its name. Lack of freshness, unpleasant, unbalanced. It was not sharp, crisp, hoppy nothing of that. If that is what people drink in Brooklyn I pity them.

Bottle. Pretty bland and boring pils, tastes like a drinkable microbrewed lager, i.e, pretty clean, but clean in this case means pretty much no flavour. Dissapointing.

Golden coloured with small head. Rather weak aroma with grassy notes. Quite thin body. Not much flavour. Some crispness.

On tap at Brooklyn Brewery, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. Brownish yellow hued beer having a small diminishing head with spare lacing. No discernable carbonation. Some malt aroma. Medium bodied (rather odd) that starts with a watery nutty malt flavor with some off flavor (oxidation product?). Finishes with odd smoke flavor. No discernable hops. A rather surprising and ghastly rendition of a pilsner. Brewing error at the brewery?

It was almost completely clear and looked like it could have been water. Nothing outstanding about it, I would not waste my time with it again.

From the brewerys tap. Kind of boring and light beer. Plastic cups might not have been the best way to enjoy this beer.

At a tasting, 7 years old bottle, thanks beerandbeyond, pours orange pinkish with nohead or carbonation, aroma of alcohol, fruit soup, malt and some caramel, flavor of cherries, bread and light acidity, watery, should taste again

Draught at the Brooklyn Brewery, Brooklyn, NY.</br> Golden fizz, not really that enjoyable. Fizzy, dry, with cheep bitter hopping.

Poured into pint glass. A light, golden color. A little cloudy, not quite transparent. Good head which fairly quickly faded. Light malt scent, nothing too strong. Very, very bitter. Overly malty. Not very balanced. Sour finish. I think I may have just gotten a bad bottle, as this just is far below Brooklyn’s normal quality. Will re-rate if I get another bottle.
