smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA Mar 28, 2007 Bottle - nice, sweet and spicy aroma. Fairly standard pilsner appearance. Flavor is grainy sweetness with a slight bitterness in the finish. A fairly good example, but far from my favorite style.
Underhook (111), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Sep 6, 2008 Malty aroma. Golden colored, carbonated. Flavor malty, some citrus. Well rounded for a pilsner. Easily the best I’ve ever had. RichJ7 (886), Cullman, Alabama, USA Aug 28, 2008 Gold in color with a thin white head. Bready aroma. Flavor is fairly light on the hops with a yeasty, bready malt thing going on, slightly sour. Not bad, I suppose, but nothing spectacular. nqualls (205), Tennessee, USA Aug 26, 2008 Poured a gold color with a white head. Aroma is malt and bread. Flavor is malty up front with a grassy hop finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Decent for a try out, but I wouldn’t buy again. bhensonb (2883), Woodland, California, USA Aug 23, 2008 Brilliant clear orange color with a decent white head. Light aroma of grassy hop over slightly bready pale malt. Medium body (almost) with fluffy carbonation. Flavor builds up more grassy bitter into the finish. Hop turns more floral than grassy. It’s crisp and clean. Breadiness makes it seem more German than Bohemian. Eh! Pretty decent American lager. More of them should be like this. thornecb (1068), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Aug 17, 2008 Pours gold with a bright white head into a pilsner. Uneven head recedes to nothing. Malt and cookie aromas. Crisp, metallic and sour.
