COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Pilsner is a refreshing golden lager beer, brewed in the style favored by New York’s pre-Prohibition brewers. In the 1840’s, the pilsner style emerged from central Europe to become the world’s most popular style of beer. Like its ancesters, Brooklyn Pilsner is traditionally brewed from the finest European two-row barley malts. German-grown Perle and Hallertauer hops provide a crisp, snappy bitterness and fresh, floral aroma. We ferment Brooklyn Pilsner at cool temperatures and then give it a long, gentle maturation (lagering), which results in a beer of superior complexity and smoothness.

On tap at Summits Wayside Tavern...Nice floral aroma to this one...NIce and light but not at all simple in fact it is quite complex for a pilsner..Good hoppy finish...If you get the chance definitely check this one out a time or two...maybe three

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2013 Clear yellow straw color with high carbonation and a soapy head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of lemon zest, yeasts, pale malts, barley and grassiness. Flavor is surprisingly malt forward, with some floral hops, lemon zest and yeasts. Aftertaste is resiny and a bit grassy. Body is light and so is the carbonation but it does feel a bit watery. A Solid Pilsner overall

Pours a straw yellow with a nice white head. Aromas of corn, grain, and mown grass. A refreshing pilsner that has good bitterness and lacks a bit in finish. Nice carbonation and lightness. No prima pils though.

Bottle:   Straw, slightly hazy, moderate frothy white head, spotty lacing.   Grassy nose, very faint fruity and floral aspects.   Fairly clean, a bit bright on the tongue.   Less mealy than many other examples, mainly European ones, which is nice.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Clean grassy finish.   This one was fairly crisp, had a slight sweet grassiness, and was very clean.   An absolutely great summer Pils IMO.

On tap at Akkurat, April 2013. Clear pale golden with a white head. This was a soft one with malt, grass, grain and some light spicy notes. The finish was dry and bitter. Descent.

Clear yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is full of grass with some biscuit and pilsner malts. Flavor is very similar with some light bitterness from the hops and some sweetness from the malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
