Commercial Description:
Brewed exclusively for El Verano, Danny Meyer’s taco bar. It features sweet orange peel in the kettle and dry-hopping with Simcoe, giving the beer a bright orangey aroma. Very nice with the tacos!

Clasic brooklyn but it does go well with the heat. This time the Italian vomit flavor does well with sweet malt and light orange top notes. Stands up to the heat. With a combo top of the 4th.

Tap at Copperfields. Pours a bright orange amber with a nice white head- sticky. Hoppy dank simcoe hops- piney and citrus with some grapefruit- orange zest and a phenolic belgian yeast. Doughy malt flavor, some cookie dough, yeasty phenolic, with good sappy simcoe hops, tropical fruits, orange zest, a bit soapy and oily- juicy hops- clean and lightly bitter finish. I seemed to like this more than most.

Draft. Pours an amber orange body with a white head. Hoppy pine musky dank dingy malt character, tastes like a dirty line with stank malt build up. This was downright bad, not further explanation needed.

Tap at Citi Field. Pretty generic, mild sticky malt, with a husky, prickly mouth feel. Minor hop complexity. The carbonation is a bit high to be good for a ball game as it is a little rough to drink.

Tap @ Citi: honestly a very good APA. Pours a ornagy copper, leaving a full, thick, wet head. Taste is complex with some clear malt notes that are balanced with a mild spice and some citrus. Some pine notes, also some caramel... very drinkable, easy body.

The aroma is floral hops, some citrus, slight sweetness from caramel malt. The appearance is a red/gold color, with a white head. The flavor is reminiscent of a pale ale, citrusy, earthy, caramel. The finish is one of the nicer aspects of the beer, a refreshing citrus/grapefruit bitterness. Medium/thin mouthfeel. Decent overall.

Tap at Citi Field. Clearly the winner of the Citi Field beers. Aroma of spicy hops with a good dose of biscuit malt. Flavor again quite spicy as well as more grainy than the aroma would indicate from the malt base. Tasty.

Best at Citi Field. Aroma is sweet hops. Flavor similar. Refreshing and only one worth getting.

Tap at Copperfield’s: (and it’s only supposed to be at the stadium...HA!) Rusty golden pour with a dense white film of head. Grainy aroma with a touch of fruity esters and an empty papery citrus note. Decent mild carbonation- typical Brooklyn profile with some papery grains and a fruity ester note. The hops are there but very subdued with restrained citrus notes and a watered down berry note. All of these beers brewed for establishments around the city all taste quite similar.
