michael-pollack (4962) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 23, 2009
Draught at TND: Sweet aroma of apples, grains, white grapes, yeast, sugar, and light bubblegum. Poureed amber in color with a medium-sized white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Complex flavor was slightly bitter and medium sweet. Tastes of apples, grains, slight alcohol, caramel, toasting, hops, biscuit, sourdough, and honey. Medium body. Oinly, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Biscuit, fruit, and caramel finish is dry.

Draft. Pours golden orange with a thin white head. Bready malty aroma with a fruity hint. The flavor is zesty lemony and bready with some lighter sweet malts. Not bad.

On tap at at Tylers in Carrboro. Light hazy orange amber in the glass. The head is frothy and off white. The nose is bubblegum, candy, very fruity, estery, sweet and spicy. The flavor is spicy, estery, yeasty, sweet, fruity, bubblegum, warming alcohol. The palate is crisp with a nice carbonation.

On Tap at Rustico in Alexandria VA. I was happy to see a new Brooklyn on tap. Poured orange with a bright white ring. Nose is sweet and light, slightly malty with lingering spice. Taste is sweet floral some spice, very smooth and overall quite tasty.

Draft at Redlight Redlight. A lightly hazy, golden-orange body is crowned with a thin, foamy, white head. Minimal traces of spotty lacing mark the glass. The aroma is dry at first, notes of cereal grains and light caramel showing mostly. After time, the nose really opens up and turns floral and fruity, even hinting at bubblegum. Flavors again show dry cereal grains and caramel, with a light dose of floral hops and bready, peppery yeast. Medium bodied and balanced on the tongue, the finish is lightly syrupy. This is a nice, easy going, drinkable brew, but its not anything special.

Eyedrinkale (3213) - Astoria, New York, USA - DEC 25, 2008
On tap at Wilfie & Nells. Buttery and malty with just a stingy amount of dull hops. BDG is a style I can deal with but this is worse then SPHs version

puzzl (3177) - New York, New York, USA - NOV 18, 2008
Tap at the Blind Tiger for the Brooklyn event. Dull orange pour, no head. Sweet, vegetal, corny aroma. Bleh. Lightly floral, sweet flavor, with some daffodil. Milky and wet. Very hot and thick. Not like a Biere de Garde at all.

PilsnerPeter (3019) - Flushing, New York, USA - DEC 4, 2008
Tap at Barcade: Slightly hazy orange copper with a thin dense head. The aroma is sweet and dusty yeast character. Lightly grainy, with lots of sugary sweet malt character, fig, and diacetyl. Sticky carbonation and a sweet flavor. Sticky Belgian phenolics, honey and dried fruits. There is also some apparent alcohol, becoming peppery towards the finish. Sweet, alcoholic, one dimensional and not at all like a Biere De Garde..

Orange pour with fluffy head. Vegetal aroma. Corn, floral notes, and sweet malts. Im having a hard time believing this is a biere de garde
