COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Scorcher #366 is a very tasty summer pale ale featuring a hop so new that it doesn’t have a real name yet – right now it’s just called “HBC 366”.

Draft at Pleased to Meet You, Newcastle on 29 July 2013. Poured a golden colour with a slight haze and thin dense white head. Aroma of citrus hops, lemon zest and some spicy notes. Initial flavour has grain, bread a little honey and quite prominent pine hop bitterness. Hoppy, dry finish with hints of topical fruits.

Draught at Arcadium. Orange body. Slight tang and overall hoppy presence. Interesting and slightly different APA.

Rake. Keg. Light haze on this gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light and crisp and dry. Mild minerals. Light skunk to start. Brief flash of lemon - lime and then a light floralness. Quite NZ like. Mild bitterness in the minerally and semi dry finish. Interesting. Would like to try this in a single hop IPA.

On tap 6 oz. sampler at The Bistro in Old Line Wine in Beltsville, MD. Clear, straw blonde with and off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus and caramel. Taste of tap water, citrus and a few drops of caramel. There just isn't much flavor here. Medium/light body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled on draft at the Headkeeper this beer poured a hazy golden-amber color with a large fluffy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tangy, dryish, spicy, peppery, piney and a bit fruity. The flavor was tangy, dryish, spicy, dusty and had touches of orange, pine and floral hops. Medium length dryish spicy and dusty orange finish. Ok.

Incredibly watered down, hoppy aftertaste, jot to pleasant. Not a lot of body, but I guess a pale ale is,the, lightest ale you can make that still has some hop to it.

The aroma is fruity, with some tropical fruits and citrus hops. Some floral notes as well. Taste is nice bitter tropical fruits with some grapefruit rind. Floral hops near the finish with some sweet malts. Light mouthfeel. Nicely drinkable with a good amount of hops. Overall, solid lighter IPA that works well for the summer.

Draft. Pours orange with a white head. Fruity and citric hoppy nose. The flavor brings some odd earthy and fruity hops, grainy pale malts, and a grainy and medium bitter finish. Really odd hops, here. I think they would this hop would work better in something more rustic, like a saison, as opposed to an IPA or Pale Ale or anything like that.

Tap @ Capital Ale D shared with Hop Tsing. First impression is good with some grapefruit and fruit. First sip was pretty hoppy, but then it faded away into a grainy flavor.
