Golden ale with a thin white head. Nice floral hops in aroma with nice caramel malts. Good lightly sweet malt with notes of lemon and honey and good residual honey hops. Medium bodied. On tap at Clark’s Ale House, Summer 2005.

Fresh, lively, floral, citrus, earthy, hop forward aroma. Clear golden body with a generous and lasting white head that laces well. Citrus, floral and earthy hops over a light, crisp toasted malt base. Medium body with refreshing crisp carbonation. Sampled from a 12oz growler with Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere at the service area off I87N in Glenns Falls, NY.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2008 [draft at MacGregor’s - Henrietta, NY] Gold color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is very hoppy and peppery. Definitely smelled more like an IPA. The taste began with a very hoppy sensation, but quickly disappeared and left no aftertaste. Very strange, but very drinkable.

Growler, Half Time N .Y., Septembre 2005.

Draft at the Drafting Room, Exton. Pours gold with a medium white head. I got aromas of hops and pale malt in this, with the same flavors. Not terribly exciting, but not bad on a summer day.

On tap at Mahar’s in Albany. Very light, looked like a macro lager. Had a mild hop flavor, very mild and slight hop aroma, but overall bland.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2005 Had this one on tap at the brewery. Just plain nasty. Imagine if you took seltzer water put a buttload of aroma hops in it, and added a splash of their pilsener for color. That’s right...you get this! People are going to say this is decent because 1. its Brooklyn and they are a solid brewery and 2. it DOES have a nice hoppy aroma and presence, but without any kind a malt backing this is an empty victory. Extremely thin and spritzy, it was like and overhopped pilsener without the biscuity character that makes a good pilsener worth drinking.

Draft in Manhattan. Clear golden ale with big foamy white head; looked jst as a pale ale should look. Good hoppy nose and good taste of American west coast hops — bitter and citrus. I guess I like a little more malt for balance, but my general feeling was that this was a good American IPA, more than a pale ale. Not distinctive, but enjoyable.

Very clear golden hue. Clean aroma of lemony and floral hops is very zesty, minty. Fresh light maltiness lives to the beat of the vibrant oily, vegetal, citric/lemony hops that while flavorful, manage to be restrained. Very light bodied, moderately carbonated and highly refreshing.

(Draught) Sampled at Clark’s Ale House in Syracuse, NY. Plain golden body with a medium, frothy head. Nose is far more hoppy than its plain appearance. Reminiscent of Lake Placid Frostbite mixed with a mildly Asian lager finish. Very good.
