COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Brooklyn Brewery is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. We are fortunate to be a part of the incredible cultural renaissance Brooklyn has enjoyed during the last quarter century. Four great Brooklyn artists whom we met along the way—Fred Tomaselli, Roxy Paine, Joe Amhrein and Elizabeth Crawford—have created special labels for our Silver Anniversary Lager beer. We are saluting our beginnings with a special doppelbock version of the Brooklyn Lager we introduced in 1988. This beer is re-fermented in the bottle and will taste great today or years from now. The original was inspired by the beers of 19th Century New York and Vienna.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of hops, citrus fruits, caramel, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, spices, hops, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Good balance between nose and taste. Alcohol is not to pushy and is well integrated. Good beer for a nice evening alone or with friends.

750ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a clear amber brown with a good tight foamy off-white head. Earthy, fruity malt aromas, yeasty spice and nuts. Taste wraps it all up in biscuit with a hint of banana. Medium bodied, creamy texture, smooth finish, good.

Visual: High quality cork seal and twisty-tie metal cap. Pours hazy medium-dark brown with a small but super long lasting ultra-foamy head, thin sticky lacing, a plethora of activity. Nose: faint sweet malts and cola. (2/10)-aromatic strength. Attack: lasting super-foamy texture, Mid-palate: (8/10)-malty sweetness, (MAIN) caramel malts, honey, dark fruit/red fruit (HINT) cola Finish: soft & mild-hop/malt bitterness, smooth sweet finish. Summary: Good texture, drinkability, and flavour. Overall solid, but lacks any memorable qualities imo.

750 c&c from Knightly in Orlando, FL. Pours hazy copper with a large foamy tan head. Aroma is darkly bready with floral\herb hop. Med + body. Flavor is herb/spice hop over toasty malt. Very flavorful without being overly sweet. Very tasty.

Rich light brown coloured body with a thick amber glow and a two centimetre tall creamy tan head. Aroma of earthy robust malt with quite a lot of bitterness, some light spices and a big note of sweetness. Medium-bodied; Strong dose of earthy malt with some cardboard and grain coming through and finishing with a deeper nuttiness, all with some sweetness coming through. Aftertaste a bit lighter, but the bitterness remains and the nuttiness is present. Overall, a nice beer, but perhaps I was expecting more - still rough around the edges and not enough complexity - just a bit too bitter. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 30-November-2013 for US$11.69 sampled at home in Washington on 23-December-2013 (Date Produced: 09/13?).

Good, dark brown beer. Decently strong but not overpowering at 8.6%, but strong enough to really enjoy. Nice malty flavor.
