COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Brooklyn Brewery is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. We are fortunate to be a part of the incredible cultural renaissance Brooklyn has enjoyed during the last quarter century. Four great Brooklyn artists whom we met along the way—Fred Tomaselli, Roxy Paine, Joe Amhrein and Elizabeth Crawford—have created special labels for our Silver Anniversary Lager beer. We are saluting our beginnings with a special doppelbock version of the Brooklyn Lager we introduced in 1988. This beer is re-fermented in the bottle and will taste great today or years from now. The original was inspired by the beers of 19th Century New York and Vienna.

Poured a clear medium brown color with a beige head. Aroma had a nice caramel malt presence upfront. There was a mix of toffee notes, candied sugar and a slight hint of citrus hops. Flavor had mostly sweet flavors. Caramel malts were great there was a nice added sweetness from the candied sugar flavors. There was just enough bite from the hops and alcohol to keep this beer from being cloying. Carbonation seemed a little high. There was a little bit of nice sediment at the bottom of the bottle.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Clear copper initially with some sediment haze later. Rich booze barrelled lager malt aroma and taste, vanilla and caramel, slightly bitter spicy floral herbal hop, hint of citrus. Softer than average carbonation, medium bodied, moderately hopped. Kinda boozey makes it: NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Bottle, 75cL. Home. A brown opaque beer with orange hues. Big white beige head ; good retention. Great label ! Fruity aroma (blackberry), smoke, herbs, flowers, ashes, heather. Nice story :) First medium sugary sweet, then medium dry bitter refreshing. Bitterness is getting more powerful through the tasting. Medium body, medium texture. Good carbonation. Windy. Refreshing. Sweet finish with a lasting dry herbal touch. Overall, a fantastic aroma firework : 1 aroma leads to another one amplified by this dry bitterness. Delicious.
