Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

On tap. Pours a cloudy yellow with a small, white head that laces. Sweet, fruity aroma of yeast, lemon, herbal spice and light farmyard. Sweet, fruity flavour of lemon, yeast, floral, spice and grass with a dry, mildly bitter, smooth finish. Medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Nice.

Pours deep gold with thick head. Very strong lemon and grasses aroma, hoppy and bitter but still refreshing. Very good beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

By far the most disappointing beer I’ve ever had. There must have been something wrong with the bottle as it had no flavor nor aroma. The body was awful, like water. I’d heard so many positive reports but it was nasty.

I actually didn't think too much of this. From a bottle into a glass in a Norwegian bar. The flavour was slightly sour-ish and quite overpowering rather than balanced. I think it's probably quite divisive - love hate sort of thing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ABV 7.2%, 12fl oz bottle at home from local supermarket. Nose is sourish fruity. Body is hazy yellow orange, head is small, white, slightly fizzy, mostly diminishing, no lacing. Aroma is apple, grapefruit, peach, spices, bread, lanyard. Medium sweet, light bitter, light fruity sour. Finish is medium lasting fruity medium sourish umami, light but developing hoppy bitter, light alcohol warmth. Medium body, thick texture, average carbonation. Quite easy, quite refreshing, tasty hoppy saison, interesting, nice one.

On tap. An unusual saison, this is clean rather than funky and, initially, at least as sweet as tart or bitter Lively high carbonation works well with the champagne like dry finish and light body. Floral and lemony.

Pours a dirty brownish yellow with little to no head. Has s light grassy aroma. Taste is mostly lemon grass with some spicy pepper. Not too overpowering but lingering flavors. OK but not really for me.

Flaska @ Backstage, Varberg.

Bottle from wine warehouse. I suppose for years I thought I tried this one and that's why haven't picked it up, but apparently not so here we go. Pours hazy golden with the small white head. Aroma of lemon, bubblegum, indiscernible fruit. Taste is a mild soap, fruit, grasses. This is tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
