COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

750ml split with Madison crew. Dulled orange-tan. Thin white head. Slightly barnyard aroma. Slightly lemon. Earthy, well balanced. Really grows on you, this is quite a sessionable Saison, true to style. Toasty clean golden malt, lemon tinged. Really well done.

Bottle shared by MrPickles...thanks Andy! - Pours pale yellow with a sticky, foamy off-white head. Nose is white pepper, dry crackery malt, a bit of floral/perfume, and a minty note. Pretty similar taste. The white pepper is still there, and itís dried out a little more to make the floral/perfume note come through more. Finishes dry and tart, with a touch of yeast. A little sharp for my tastes, but love the dryness.

Itís definitely a sasion. Poured into pint glass from a 750ml bottle bought when I was up in St. Paul. Poured blond, slightly cloudy, nice big pillow of foam. Didnít take much to keep a nice head on the beer the whole time. Smells include nice citrus notes. This would be a great session beer, enjoyed on a summer day, even with the higher ABV content. Taste was a slightly sour on the front side, with a sweeter aftertaste. Very well balanced. Great level of carbonation - if this were less bubbly, it would feel too flat for the taste. Very enjoyable. Iíll be seeking more of this int he spring.

Sulphurous, fresh aroma with some tartness and mouldered grass in the background. Dry. Taste has marked grapefruit bitterness and lovely tones of grass and hey. A bit thin body. Aftertaste is dominated by citrus fruit. Likeable saison although I am not very fond of the style. Date: 2011-09-17

750ml from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo. $10. Pours a semi-clear gold color, with a nice head. Iím getting a LOT of hop character in the nose. Interesting. Also getting some citrus and a little barnyard bread. Spicy. Full of carbonation, some Belgian character, but also very hoppy with those weird sorachi hops. Very refreshing. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours clear golden amber with a great white fizzy head leaving some lacing. Aroma is fruity, citric, acidy, malty and a bit sweet. Flavor is very fresh; bitter, pungent, malty and floral. Finishes longlived bitter and fruity.
