Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Appearance was clear yellow gold with creamy white lasting 2 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are lemon, slight wheat ,pils malt with hints of estery yeasts. Taste are soft sweet malt backbone with lemon, lime hop then doughy bready fruity yeast. Palate was smooth fizzy CO2 with light-medium body, then a balanced beautiful mix of citrus and malt finish. A wonderful saison, try it.

Very dry with lots of spice, plus some grassy and citrus hops. Some alcohol burn as well. It’s a little too strong for it’s own good, I prefer mellower saisons.

Pours a hazy straw yellow with white head. Fizzy, citrusy, lemon mainly, with some funk and wheat on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a raw wheat note.

Aroma is an interesting lemon, with an earthiness to it. Then it calms down into a funkiness. Appearance is spot-on: hazy pale yellow with a solid white head initially like meringue. The head faded but it still looks good. Taste is pretty good. Not really funk-forward in taste, more tart. Palate is ok, not really dry or bright as it could be. Overall, a good beer but not a super saison.

On tap at nico’s. Comes with thin white head and lemony yellow light to medium bodied. Smells of light lemon citrus and light coarse grain. Flavor profile with light medicinal, lemon zest, buttery hops and a bitter finish.

Nice champagne like pour. Nice aroma of citrus, mild sour fruits, and sweet candies. Yellow gold color with a frothy white head. Interesting beginning of zesty, peppery fruit. Notes of spices as a nice coat of bitterness develops. Dry and refreshing..finishes with a bitter end and a mustiness I can’t quite describe. Not bad.

(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Hazy gold pour with a puffy white head. Citrusy and hoppy aroma with some spices as well. Dry and bitter at the start with a bright citrus and yeasty middle. Finishes clean with a very light spice and hop aftertaste.
