Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Pours a slightly hazy dark straw from a bottle, thick white head with good lacing, lots of effervescence. Certainly looks the part of a belgian ale. Aroma is of candied lemon with some apple notes. Flavor is a nice grassy, dry bitterness, some floral quality in there too. Alcohol towards the end. Good beer.

3/10/15 (Draft - The Laughing Man Washington DC) Pale light blonde pour, minimal head, mild carbonation. Slight fruit and lemon grassy hops scent. Mild taste, lemon and citrus noticeable, hops shined through. Mild carbonation, light texture. Overall good beer.

Tasted from the bottle on the Barcelona Beer Fest (14/03/2015). Hazy golden colour with a decent off-white head. Aroma is very fruitly with presence of bread and grains. Taste is fruit and acid with full carbonation and medium body. Next one please!

I really love this beer. It's the perfect Belgian beer for someone who likes hops but doesn't want a Belgian IPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample @ MÖWF. Hazy golden straw with one finger white head. Citrusy aroma with hints of dill. Taste of slight citrus, dill, crayfish water, dryness. Dry mouthfeel, slight lively.

Cloudy straw in appearance, medium hop presence, horse blanket aroma with a touch of funk. Heavily carbonated, with large bubbles that remain in the glass, some lacing. Bone dry with light body and a lingering fusel aftertaste.

BlackHaddock (4702) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAR 10, 2015
Surprised to see this (7.2% ABV) in The Pheasant Inn, Wellington Shropshire on tap: 9th Mar 2015. Had to have a half-pint (£3:00). Misty golden pour with a white topping. The nose and taste were of floral and fruity hoppiness, tropical fruits in fact, Mango and Peach esters/flavours battled it out within the alcoholic blend. I liked it, zesty with a mild citrus bite below the other sweeter fruitiness.

growler to glass that poured a cloudy yellow color with with minimal white head. plenty of carbonation which I would assume is partly do due to the champagne yeast. the aroma is saison, lemon zest and light bread kind of fresh. the flavor is spicy lemon zest with saison and esters and lots of greats underlying flavors. not a perfect saison but a damn good one. I can understand why this would go with seafood...just a nice great spicy flavor that is light and refreshing.
