3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by MrPickles...thanks Andy! - Pours pale yellow with a sticky, foamy off-white head. Nose is white pepper, dry crackery malt, a bit of floral/perfume, and a minty note. Pretty similar taste. The white pepper is still there, and itís dried out a little more to make the floral/perfume note come through more. Finishes dry and tart, with a touch of yeast. A little sharp for my tastes, but love the dryness.

Itís definitely a sasion. Poured into pint glass from a 750ml bottle bought when I was up in St. Paul. Poured blond, slightly cloudy, nice big pillow of foam. Didnít take much to keep a nice head on the beer the whole time. Smells include nice citrus notes. This would be a great session beer, enjoyed on a summer day, even with the higher ABV content.
Taste was a slightly sour on the front side, with a sweeter aftertaste. Very well balanced. Great level of carbonation - if this were less bubbly, it would feel too flat for the taste.
Very enjoyable. Iíll be seeking more of this int he spring.

Sulphurous, fresh aroma with some tartness and mouldered grass in the background. Dry. Taste has marked grapefruit bitterness and lovely tones of grass and hey. A bit thin body. Aftertaste is dominated by citrus fruit. Likeable saison although I am not very fond of the style.

750ml from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo. $10. Pours a semi-clear gold color, with a nice head. Iím getting a LOT of hop character in the nose. Interesting. Also getting some citrus and a little barnyard bread. Spicy. Full of carbonation, some Belgian character, but also very hoppy with those weird sorachi hops. Very refreshing. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours clear golden amber with a great white fizzy head leaving some lacing. Aroma is fruity, citric, acidy, malty and a bit sweet. Flavor is very fresh; bitter, pungent, malty and floral. Finishes longlived bitter and fruity.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours gold with a big white head. Sharp lemony aroma with some light spicy notes. The flavor is relatively understated and well balanced, with light lemony hops notes, spices, and flowers. Some slightly funky yeasty notes hide underneath. Awesome.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
The pour is a light hazy yellow body with a thick three finger off white head. Huge carbonation in the body with some thick frothy lacing. The nose is very spicy (coriander, cloves, pepper) with an overall floral yeast note and a light woody note. Citrus esters and a bready malt on the nose. This smells alot like a dry white wine. The taste is sweet in the middle with a big citrus component with a very dry hoppy finish. The spice profile is very present with a big coriander and estery taste. There is a bit of an alcohol note on the finish. This is a very unusual beer with a nice spice and fruit profile with a dry and bitter finish. overall, this is a great Saison from Brooklyn.
