COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Its hard to fit this beer into a category. Pours a great orange/copper color and its the palate with blenty of bright citrus. Pineapple, lemon and nectarine flavors are contrasted nicely with with a malty sweetness. Didn’t get a whole lot of barnyard funk typical of saisons. Good beer versatile with food pairings. Perfect with some spicy thai. Would like to see how else this hop could be utulized.

Hazy yellow pour with slight lacing and minimal head. Aroma is of hops and lemon. Good taste which finishes light and not too sticky.

750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, bottled 7/12/2012. Pours slightly hazy golden straw color with a nice 2-3 finger fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of big lemon, pear, pineapple, clove, orange zest, pepper, herbal, earth, grass, floral, and yeast spiciness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity. Taste of big lemon, pear, pepper, pineapple, apple, orange zest, clove, herbal, grass, earth, floral, and yeast spices. Light earthy bitterness on the finish with light tartness; with lingering notes of light fruits, lemon, pepper, clove, herbal, floral, grass, earth, and yeast spices on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance and complexity of flavors; great spiciness/malt balance; zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a lightly slick and very crisp and prickly mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is extremely well hidden with zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a world class saison! Fantastic balance and complexity of flavors; insanely smooth and crisp to sip on. A truly incredible experience when it is quite fresh.

Had this at the 2012 Great American Beer Fest in Denver, Colorado. Has some big lemon that put the hop sin the background, lemon funk taste.

Quite tasty saison here. Heavy orange/lemon notes with a nice spicy kick to it. A bit malty and cardboardy but not too bad. Very tasty stuff.

Pours a frothy light golden. Aroma of farmhouse funk, belgian yeast, some nice spice. Flavor has a belgian yeast flair. Light mouthfeel and heavy carbonation. Very refreshing beer. Glad I tried it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Extremelly orangy ipa, this one might have been a little old and didnt get a chance to be very hoppy. Light saison falvors are overwhelmed by heavier malts

Excelent beer, very fruty. I strongly recommend this saison for those that like the stile.
