4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A fine beer that was hoppy for a saison but still rather unassuming. Pretty good but not amazing. Fairly smooth finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. Slightly unclear yellow golden body with a moderate sized white head. Mild but nice aroma of spices and some citric fruit. Flavor is nice, refreshing, fruity and spicy yeat. Medium body with a fine refreshing aftertaste in the same league as the main flavor. A very pleasant Saison with this typical and not so easy to describe Saison aroma and flavors.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap: thanks to Ron for the suggestion. Golden-straw, translucent with a mild chill haze that eventually fades. Big-bubbled, white head stays thin but lasts for a while with small bits of wet lacing left behind. Aroma is packed with lemon of different hats; lemon peel, lemon zest, lemongrass... Effervescent & light, yet smooth & crisp. Herbaceous, grassy, earthy, with a touch of bubblegummy yeast esters. Little but of clove, coriander, & white pepper in the finish. Taste is more of the same, with lemon zest, herbal lemon tea, earthy & grassy hops, mild bitterness, clove, mild pepper spice, & a good blanket of Belgian yeast esters. Malt balances, but isn’t too sweet; cracker-like & bready. Crispy, dry finish. Very drinkable, nice stuff here.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample from bottle at the Cardinal stand at Nærbø, Ølfestivalen 2013. Clear bright golden body with a white rim. Inviting peppery, light Bret and spice notes fill the nostrils. Watery heavily carbonated mouth and a light to medium body. Spicy light gooseberries and cardamum stand out.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0.75l corked bottle. This is a cloudy golden yellow one and it has a impressive gigantic white almost fluffy head with great retention that’s leaving nice lacing down the sides of the glass. Nice slightly spicy and definitely saisonish aroma. Mmhhh.. Floral, crisp, a bit yeasty with cat piss, lots of grapefruit citrus and a little bit of tangerines. Nice! It has a lively carbonation level and a soft light oily mouthfeel. More spices and citrus in the taste. Grapefruit, a good bitterness balanced by sweet white sugar, grass, candy and something slightly metallic in the background. It ends on the dry side of the scale. Lovely in the heat. 25.07.2013

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale straw color with about two and a half fingers of a bone white head. Huge champagne like carbonation streaming from the glass. This has a lackluster nose, subtle aromas of lemongrass and green grape vine and I hate to say it, but a bit of adjunct lager esters. Taste is also subtle, I get a grassy note, granny smith apple and a touch of pepper. The palate is extremely dry, I was actually expecting and hoping for more fruitiness. Alcohol is well balanced, but I was excited for this one and ultimately underwhelmed. I prefer Local #1.
