3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma isn’t too appetizing, a bit musty. Aroma of cloves, hops and pears. Taste is nice, mellow but very complex and balanced. Taste is strongly of cloves, slightly bitter hops, other various spices and some pear. Some citrus, some grassiness, wheat and banana. There is a funk that comes in the form of slightly rotten clementines. A nice mouthfeel. Mild enough my girlfriend drank it, complex enough I enjoyed it. I am constantly trying to find a good beer she likes, finally found one. Enjoyable beer.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Keg at North Bar, Leeds. Pours a clear straw yellow, small white head. Tasted while I had a cold, so a small ping of salt needed. Aroma is Belgian twang, hops, lemongrass, bubblegum, bit of Drumstick lollipops. Taste is bitter, lemongrass, hops, Orval-ish dryness, with the same odd but brilliant bubblegum and Drumstick taste. Medium bodied, with a really crisp and dry finish. Very interesting.

Good solid refreshing beer ! Pours a hazy golden with a big bubbly head. Crisp aromas of lemon zest, yeast and a touch of floral. Taste is pleasant with a good sour bitter combo happening. A little funky but mostly sour tart and yummy with a dry lingering finish.

From Draft. Aroma of Lemon, citrus, Wheat and Estery notes. Smooth and crisp mouth feel, light bodied. Bitter Lemon zest on the palate, slight spice, well balanced and no astringency on the finish. Good stuff

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Hazy gold with a large white head that fades to an inch. Aroma of winter oranges, vanilla, lemon, shiso leaf, dough. Sweet with oranges, sugary dough, lemongrass. Very light tart/ funky notes, but they’re there. Alcohol pretty much completely hidden. Dries out a fair bit towards the end, but still finishes semi-sweet with subdued spices that do, however, linger. A little bit of a let down after the aroma, which impressed because it seemed to integrate this very intrusive hop into a typical saison nose with considerable aplomb. Innovative but respectful.

Theres just a certain uniqueness about this brew that makes me give it the high rating. Its not what you’d expect from an ale. I tasted citrus notes as well as hoppy flavor that you could only taste when it hit your tongue and then not again until the finish. Expensive yet worth a shot.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours opaque golden with a large, dense white head. Smells a bit like lemon some hay and wheat aromas. Taste is first of green apples and other white fruits with a touch of lemon citrus and various bread-like substances. Light-bodied with a mostly smooth, lightly prickly texture and lots of mouth-carbonation, Brooklyn Sorachi Ace finishes with a touch of funk.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml corked bottle pours a golden orange color with a frothy white head that retains well and eventually settles to some thin spotty lacing. Aroma is light lemony citrus with some grassy hops and faint yeast. Taste is light malt and fruity sweetness with some light herbal and citrus hop bitterness. Medium bodied with abundant carbonation leaving a pleasing tingle on the palate. A very nice champagne like ale which is quite refreshing to drink.

Aroma brings piney hops, sweet malt and a touch of burnt rubber and acetone to mind. The latter are VERY light. Pale, hazy straw yellow with billowing white head. Crisp apple flavor up front with slight sweaty funk on finish. pretty dry. Just a little thin. Very long enjoyable finish.
