Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Appearance: bright gold, big cottony white head slowly shrinking to generous lace. Aroma: fresh lemon rind, mown grass, drying hay, saltine crackers, rice paddies and wet basement. Taste: restrained but forward push of lemon (almost pulpy), balanced by a little crackery sweetness and light barnyard funk, over a note of grassy hops and white pepper. Finish: clean, crisp, a little bitter, and a little tangy, with lingering bright, lemony notes and a bit of sweet, crackery wheat. Notes: Nice saison. The sorachi ace hops really impart a delicious, bright, crisp lemon character in the aroma, but it doesn’t kill you in the taste. And the traditional saison notes aren’t overpowered--they are very nicely done. Palate is perfect. Great beer for a summer day.

[bottle] Complex and inviting aroma of lychee fruit and vanilla with a touch of star anise and herbal hops. Almost crystal clear gold under a thick white top that quickly recedes to an island and ring. Light and fruity flavour that it refreshing and dry. Complex with an oaky vanilla and medium oak bitterness, lychee fruit, and accents of orange blossom and white grape. Light body, high carbonation, almost clean finish.

Disig gyllene vätska med stor fluffig skumkrona. Vackert! Mycket bättre än i brewdogs IPA. Uppfriskande med massor av karaktär men kanske något enkelspårig.

Bottle shared at BBQ with some buds. Hazy cloudy pour with big fluffy head. Aroma has that sweet sorachi yeast smell with a touch of light fruit. Flavor is sweet as well with a little bit fruit coming through.

750 ml. Hazy golden body. Big fizzy white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of spice, toasted grain, citrus with hints of lemon, clove. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Spicy tastes of pepper, coriander, citrus and earthy herbs. Hints of woodiness and mango. Dry finish with a bit of lingering tanginess. Complex, but just a tad sweet. By the second glass, it turned a bit chalky, but these are minor annoyances. This is an interesting beer.

Sampled from bottle Round balanced aromas of lemon zest, soraci ace hops and cream. Taste is light with some yeast and esters dominating the taste. Refreshing! What a shame it’s so costly...
