Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

draft at hopleaf. pours hazy golden color with dense white head. Aroma is peppery, floral, but I didn’t get a lot of lemon/lemon grass out of it. flavor is extremely dry, almost overattenuated, big dry peppery, some lemons, floral notes round it out. nice spritzy tight mouth feel, pretty enjoyable beer for sure, most american examples of the style are not as dry as this.

Pours a pale yellow. Aroma of straw grass and citrus. Taste is sweet with spice up front with a full smooth carbonation. Not my cup of tea. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Big bottle while in Florida. Poured a golden color. Minimal head. Aroma of grains, rice, herbs, coriander, peppercorn. Light bitter, light sweetness. Average to above carbonation. Has spices, lemon zest, with slight bubblegum. An interesting beer.

Delicious saison. Best drank with food. Pours very bubbly and frothy but froth dissipates very quickly. ---Rated by Seeroy via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My favorite of the Brooklyn Brewery to date, the flavor and aroma had a great mix of spices and citrus, with a nice floral smell. It pours with a thick head and an inviting golden color. Really wonderful.

(Bottle) Hazy golden yellow colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with apricots, mandarin, passion fruit, honey, a touch of yeast and fresh floral hops. Fruity taste with notes of bread, apricots, orange, lemon zest, honey, spicy hints of yeast and fresh floral hops in a finish with a gentle bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and tasty,. Very nice.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2013 Draft. Pours clear copper with a small white head and plenty of carbonation. The aroma has some floral notes and light grain. The taste is lightly hoppy with some belgian yeast.

A great beer in its simplicity. A wonderful fresh, fruity, hop aroma and a very smooth taste. Soft carbonation creates a great mouthfeel.

750 ml. bottle. Served in a snifter. Yeasty aroma hits as soon as the bottle is uncorked. Spicy nose with, as mentioned earlier, heavy yeast. Pours a pale yellow with a three-finger head. Highly carbonated, fruity, crisp, and dry. Saison isn’t one of my favorite styles, but Brooklyn has brewed a nice one. This one ranks up there with Goose Island’s Sophie.

Keg @ Stormbird, Camberwell. The pour’s a hazy, bright gold color with a modest white head. The nose is of banana mash, spices. Plenty of generally bucolic aromas, belgian yeast. The taste is mild tropical fruit, lemon zest, farmhouse yeast. Nicely chalky, dry finish. Very refreshing. Mild marshmallow and bubblegum sweetness. Light body, wonderfully expressive. Easy to drink, especially considering the ABV. Overall, a really solid beer. Well made stuff.
