Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Pours a lovely golden color with 1 in head that soon disappears. Good lacing. The flavor penetrates well. Yeasty odor and a comfortable palate reminiscent of a classic blonde ale. Hops enter the equation towards the end with grassy notes and a smooth bitter finish. I would drink this again. Not too much happening in terms of complexity but very smooth and a great drinking and pairing beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. Pours a light golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma is laden with citrus, particularly lemon and grapefruit, hops, and pine. Taste is light and bubbly, with a nice balance of lemon, grassy hops, and hay. Maybe a touch of apricot on the finish. Finishes off slightly bitter and yeasty. Light even for a saison, but delicious.

Golden pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma is full of lemon zest and citrus with a little funk. Taste is crisp lemon, grass, and a little dank. Very dry on the palate with prickly carbonation. Really good.

The Sorachi Ace starts off with powerful citrus aromas of grapefruit and lemon zest. Flavors are crisp and citrusy with light flavor of hay in the background. Not a particularly earthy or funky saison but refreshing and quite enjoyable.

Cloudy yellow pour with a lot of white head. Lemon aroma. A good presence of bubbles and grassy hop. Champagne like in its carbonation and texture. Thin body. Nice

Opened one in our store for public to taste. Stole the show from the other 7 Brooklyn beers we had open. Bright, fresh, lovely weight on the palate whilst being light, cleansing and refreshing.

Clear straw-gold with some motes of sediment and a voluminous, fizzing head. The carbonation is so active that you only have to glance at the glass, drum your fingers on the table, or accidentally breathe in its general direction for it to metastasize into a billowing, pint-enveloping mountain of bubbles. Once you tame the foam, you’re in for a clean aroma of hay and dried grass and lemon peels backed by the great citrusy spiciness of Sorachi Ace hops. Give it a swirl around your mouth and you’ll find a well-balanced combination of pale malts, mild yeast and bread notes, bright lemongrass, and the one-two punch of the spicy, bitter hops. It all finishes crisp and dry, leaving memories of the dancing, prickly carbonation on your tongue. This is a dangerously refreshing beer that you’ll be hesitant to share - after all, you’ve only got 750ml of it.

Pours a dark golden look with a frothy and profuse white head foam. Subtle aroma with notes of citrus, pineapple, bananas and grass. Some hints of lemon and orange zest on the taste, lemongrass and spices. Medium sweetness, lightly bitter. Full body, creamy feel, soft carbonation and a dry finish. It’s a very good brew but I was expecting more taste or character.

Draft at easy tiger. Hazy golden pour. Lemony aroma, with some belgian yeast and pepper. Nice and smooth, with some farmhouse funkiness and peppery saison yeast. Definite lemon zest taste. Really nice.
