COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Tasted on 1/20/12 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle purchased at Grand Cru. Pours hazy golden with a very thick and rocky white head that slowly recedes to rocky lace, leaving thick residue lacing along the inside of the glass. The nose is straightforward spicy saison with some bread malt, and bitterness and hops that run from floral to grassy and full of citrus. The flavor is lightly sweet bread malt up front, moving to the spicy yeast and complex hops that, once again, range from floral, to citrus, to grassy. The body is medium with lightly oily texture, lively carbonation, and a long spicy and complex hops finish.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a tall frothy white head. Aroma is quite fruity, lemon zest, yeast and notes of wheat. Taste is also quite citrusy with more lemon zest, yeast and some spices leading to a subtly dry finish. Really nice.

750ml bottle bought at the brewery, 17/12/11, drank in Barbados. Belgian pour; apricot-hued, whipped unevenly with foam, misted. Tangy, dribble-prompting aroma of tripel-like botanicals, tangerine peel, cigarette smoke on the breath of an enticingly perfumed woman, buck’s fizz, cardamom and parsley-like impressions. Smells like a beer you want to jump into and drink a lot of and that’s exactly what it is; spritz, honeyed mandarin, drying bitterness begging another sip, pale malt tipping into light husk and creaminess, candied citrus peels and Belgian perfume. Very, very good.. almost brilliant.

slight lemon taste. Some say taste a little like dish detergent. Hard to place. Not hoppy and not malty. Beautiful appearance. Nice Palate. Pleasant.

First of all, I would like to say that I love the bottle and label. Well Done. As far as saison’s go, this is a nice surprise. Pours cloud and golden, soft white head that gives way to lacing. Yeast, lemon, white grape on the nose. Warm and peppery on the palate, tart. A soft taste of vanilla on the finish. Excellent.
