3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a lively, pale golden, head resides to thin, but consistent film throughout tasting. Smells of grass, herbal spiciness, a little of "the cousin", mild citrus, some pepper. Taste is pretty much the same, very little malt and maybe some tannins from hops??? Overall, it has a good weight balanced nicely by high carbonation. The grassy/herbal notes may cause some fatigue after extended consumption, but the balance of residual sweetness and mouthfeel make this beer exteremely palatable!

Not sure if it the hops , but this style of hopped belgians are usually much more bitter, This is smoot in comparison, great head and some lacing, honey colored cloudy with nice peppery lemon tastes, alcoholic and nice bitter finish

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From bottle at the 15th Annual Indiana Microbrewers Summer Fest 2010: Hazy coppery hue with and very good head. The aroma has notes of pineapple, mango, grassy and herbal hops, some clove like spice and an overall pale grain malt vapour. The taste starts with a nice acidic fruity twang with some barnyard funk, oak, herbs, and biscuity malt background. The mouth feel is lively and crisp, refreshing. I liked this but still the flavor profile did not live up to the wonderful nose.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear golden color/ rocky lasting white foam. Salty, vegetal, sulfer, floral, pine, perfume aromas- nice. Frothy medium body. Very good dusty pale malt flavors with mint leaf, floral, pine hops, mild belgian spicy yeast. Expensive, yet a very tasty treat.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pretty pale gold, nice head. Aorma is spicy, with a lemon note. Comes off in the mouth as a cross between a saison and a pale ale. Lots of lemon accented hops, pale malts, but then a spicy yeasty kick on the finish. Carbonation a bit odd, probably due to the champagne yeast used at bottling. Nice enough beer though.

750mL bottle shared with manuchampions, pours hazy yellow with a huge white head. Nose is heavy on citrus, yeast, orange zest, and spices. Flavour of spices, citrus and yeast. Very smooth, with a slightly bitter hoppy and soapy finish. Very nice.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml bottle from 16th St. liquor in West Vancouver. Pours a light gold with mild haze and a thick 3 finger cream head. Big lemon citrusy, orange zest, some yeast. Taste is more like blood orange with hints of mild spice. Hops are evident and slightly soapy. Finish lingers well.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
750mL bottle, purchased in PA. Pours a beautiful, bright yoke-yellow color; effervescent and slightly hazy; creamy, tall, fine-bubbled white head with excellent retention and lacing; great pour on this. Let me begin my flavor / aroma notes by saying, this is my first (known) encounter with the Sorachi Ace hops, and this is one ridiculous and enamoring hop. Very interesting stuff going on here. The aroma is hugely grapefruit-centric, diverging to an herbal, almost vegetal, note at times; very aromatic hop character here, almost like sticking your entire nose into a fresh grapefruit rind (I’m guessing here); there’s also a citric tartness here that isn’t, inherently, surprising, but (mixed with the dry and crackly saison yeast notes) comes across almost bretty, and if there is any brett it here it would be hard to distinctly pull it away from the hop profile; there’s also another note present, approaching nail polish but more of a rounded, vinous alcohol note; your guess is as good as mine; overall, a striking and compellingly odd hoppy saison aroma. Neat stuff. Medium (or slightly higher) body; lively, effervescent carbonation; neither creamy nor astringent, and no immediate show of alcohol; the nail polish-like note takes a slightly more prominent role here, and the sharp, pitty grapefruit character is tempered; still, solid bitterness, a nice peppery saison yeast character, and a distinct lemony / grapefruit hop note that’s just really nice; suggestions of brett in the aroma seem to fall apart in the mouth, as this becomes more of a hoppy, citrusy saison with a slightly odd fruity note that approaches nail polish. Doesn’t live up to the promise of the aroma, but still quite enjoyable. Medium finish of toastiness, light mineral bitterness (the citrus doesn’t last), and cracker-like notes; all toast and dryness (Saltines?) at the far end of things.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice clear yellow pour with lively carbonation in the body, and an undying ample white froth sitting atop it. The aroma first presents with super dry lemon juice and orange peel, soon giving way to a spicy citrus hop note and some herbal white sage. Really nice arrangement. The flavor is an excellent balance of fruity dough, spicy hop, nectary orchid, and acidic citrus. A doughy angelfood like note gives way to what one might find a humming bird suckling upon; spice and herbal hop notes lead into the peel of an citrus fruit containing all dimensions of orange, grapefruit, lemon, and mandarin. A peachy apricot like nectar also comes in subtly. The palate is medium to full for the style with huge pillowy carbonation and a crisp clean finish. One of the best American produced saisons in my book.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light, cloudy golden. Glorious white head. Wood belgian yeasty aroma but light. Flavors of light apple, tart, malt, and yeast. Slightly bitter and bland finish. Medium body that errs on the heavy side.
