Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Sunshine yellow pour from bottle. Nose and taste was very complex, incorporating a host of fruits and spices. Iíve not had a beer like this before. Very unique, and I would encourage all to try this.

Bottle as shown. Pours a pale yellow gold with a large frothy off white head that lasts awhile leaving good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a fruity malt with cereal and lemon. Thin mouthfeel with a dry hop with clove and cereal with a nice dry finish. Easy to drink hiding the alcohol well, a very good Saison from Brooklyn.

Pours out a hazy straw color with a fluffy white head. Aroma is of citrus hops, tropical fruits, lemon zest, yeast and slight coconut. Taste is complex and smooth. Notes of tropical fruits, coconut, yeast, lemon zest and a light hay/earthy note. Lightly bitter finish, but a very drinkable beer. Well done.

Big olí bottle split with a friend, poured into a Duvel Tulip glass. Hazy Yellow, with a thick white everlasting head, with some lacing. smell is a little spicy and characteristics of the nose are the lemony citrus and grain. It tastes so refreshing on another 90 degree day in Ohio. . Very mild malt backing to this brew but at times it does come across a bit spicey and mildly sweet. The spice has to be from this Japanese hop. Sweet, carbonated (in a good way), and when it warms a bit, I taste a hint of Anise. A very unique beer, that needs to be sold in 6ers....or what the hell.....get me a Keg.

Pours bright gold, the first glass being very clear, with a fluffy white head that sticks around forever. Aroma is awesome with tons of pepper, lemon, fresh cut grass, basil, hay, rye bread, and dough. Mmmm! Flavor follows suit pretty well with hay, lemon, pepper, dry bitterness, rye bread/doughy malt, light herbs, but stronger pepper than the aroma. Finishes dry with mild bitterness and a nice flavor of hay, pepper, grass, and herbs. Nice and dry, and the mouthfeel is effectively crisp without any extra flab. This is just great, awesome on itís own, but I canít wait to have with some chicken and bell peppers!

The aroma is unique with yeast, fruit, malt, spice, ginger, and flowers. The appearance is pale gold with a large head. The taste is like the aroma which is a bit complex. The palate is a bit thin but ok. Overall a nice beer. I am pleasantly surprised.

Bottle at Food & Wine festival at Madison Square park. Cloudy orange with soapy white head. heavy cirtus aromas and tastes of lemonpeel, grapefruit, hay, and pepper. very refreshing considering this party is being held in 100% humidity and 2,000 degree heat.

Bottle. Pours a hazy very light straw yellow color with a densely packed white sudsy foamy sticky head. Aroma is nice, subtle and balanced, clean and freshly stinky, lemon, lemon grass, grass, quite a bit of soap, nice. Alcohol plays a bit more part in this beer than it probably needs, although it is very well attenuated as a saison should be, biscuity, lemon, stinky green grass, could use a bit more yeast character and acidity, really dry, soda like, nice amount of bitterness, like tonic water, quinine, tastes like sorachi ace alright, but could definitely use more acidity. Light bodied, with ample tightly packed corse fizzy carbonation. Lemon cookie lacking acidity, bone dry. Has a bit of a white-wine taste.

Big white lacy head. Spicy aroma. Medium yellow body. Highly drinkable. Good brew. Not sure if itís worth the $15 I paid for this bottle though.
