3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled from a 750ml brown corked bottle this beer poured a very cloudy medium yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweetish citrus, cactus, pine and pepper. The flavor was sweet, tangy and bready with notes of citrus, cactus, agave, lemon and pepper. The finish was long with sweet cactus, lemon and pepper lingering. Fairly full bodied. Very nice.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours light orange with a thick white head. Aromas of lemon, tropical fruits, a touch of yeast. Wonderfully balanced body with a nice hop presence, flavours of pineapple, citrus and the belgian yeast comes out on the finish.

Pours golden with a large head. Has a lot of floral notes to it. Hints of sweetness up front, but some hoppiness on the back end. Interesting brew...

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2012 Keg in Draft House Norhcote. Supposed to be a saison but like a lager with sorachi hops. Clear pale amber thin white head. Nose is earthy, citrous, floral. Taste is crisp like a lager with some tangy, earthy sorachi hops. Easy to drink simple single hop beer, but I’m not getting saison at all.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Good off-white head, hazy orange-yellow beer. Cheesy notes from the S.A., Champagne and fusel-like (not FROM fusels) aromas. Sorachi Ace giving herbal, grassy, but also fiery and cheesy notes, but lacking the depth from melanoidins. Spritzy, Champenoise pearling, medium bodied and slick. Garrett, sorry, you might think different, but I rest my case with this beer. Sorachi Ace is for DARK STRONG beers. Not for a blonde single hop special, however well-treated.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This poured a cloudy yellow color with a large white head. Aroma was lots of fruity notes, some spices, lots of melons and some grass too. Flavor was melon, light wild notes, and coriander. INteresting beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On keg at the Rake. Gold with a lacy white head, and a floral, yeasty aroma. Palate is faintly champagne like, but mostly hoppy and spicy, with underlying fruity malt, and a dry earthy edge. Cloves and peppery pine hops on the aftertaste. Very tasty, though a tad gassy.
