COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Bright hazy yellow, big pillowy stark white head. Lovely spicy/peppery/yeasty citrus/lemon aroma. The flavor is very interesting. Lots of lemon (juice and rind), the yeastiness is a bit more muted than in most saisons but I guess this is meant to showcase the hop varietal. Super quencher with a long lovely lemon finish. It almost drinks like a funky less sour/sweet bubbly lemonade. Quite yummy and a great hot weather beer.

Very light straw color with big rocky head. Aroma of white bread, straw, fresh cut grass. Medium carbonation, fluffy mouthfeel. Very light and bright citrus - more lemon. Very slightly sweet, nice grassy hop, then finishes all funky belgian, a tinge of sourness, and a little sherry in th finish. Very interesting. Nice and refreshing, perfect for summer

Bottle. Pours a hazy straw with a large creamy white head. Notes of pepper, pineapple, horse blanket, downy, mandarian oranges, and creme of wheat. Great beer creamy moutfeel. Excellent.

Biased I am, as I am a lover of the farmhouse ale. This was a wonderfully complex saison, successful on every level. The aroma was awesome, full of bread, straw, orange, lemon zest, and yeast. The flavor peppery and sour, with a hint of sweetness. The palate played out very much like a fine dry champagne, carbonation and all! This was clearly designed by an artist!

I like it. floral notes on the nose with some yeasty, bready character, sort of a sourdough thing happening. a "dry" scent, with a drier taste -- pepper, lemon peel, earthiness, and a solid balance to back it up, a sweeter note -- the lemon peel aroma goes into more of a lemon curd taste, but we’re back to a dry finish with more pepper, some curaçao, some cracked coriander. cloudy hazy straw colour with puffy, creamy head. recommended. would love to catch this one on draft.

Bottle at KØ10. Mild flowery aroma. Cloudy yellow colour, high carbonation. Small stable white head. Good fruity flavour with a nice flowery touch in the finish. Not as gay as it sounds.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2013 Sampled at American Craft Beer Fest 2010. Pours a golden color. Aroma is spicy yeast with some light hops, and the flavor is about the same. Very light on the palate. Not bad for this style of beer. 3/28/13 - Re-rate: This beer is a really good saison. A lot of green apple and hops. Definitely worth a higher rating than I gave it from the sampling at the beer fest.
