Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Soft gold color with a tall, pure white head. Smells springy -- floral perfume, juicy oranges, jasmine. Flavorful on the palate, kind of grabby. Honeydew, lemon, toffee, chicory and brazil nut.

Pours a yellowish gold into the glass with a rocky white head. Aroma is slightly grassy with a nice spice unlike anything I’ve ever smelled. I’m guessing this may be due to the sorachi hop. Flavor is a light malt sweetness with a little funk and spice. Incredible body. Really nice beer perfect for the heat.

750 ml bottle at crizay’s house
Thanks to buffalohead for sharing this bottle which was picked up at one of the local stores. It was decent but a little too light for my tastes, even for a saison. It is very unlikely that I will be buying any more of this unless it happens to be on sale. Still it was refreshing and easy on the palate during a warm afternoon.

Aroma / Appearance - Lemon colored with a huge foamy head the color was like someone had added just a touch of lemonade powder to a glass of carbonated water. Lemon pledge mixes with the smell of a box of dryer sheets to create a crispness that permeates the air like sitting next to the vent on the side of an apartment complex.

Flavor / Palate - Pears and apples give this a light touch. The finish tastes like someone spiked it with Febreeze. Perhaps it was the level of beers we had been drinking earlier but this simply did not do it for me. I respect Brooklyn Brewing for going out on a limb but this release was simply not enough to make me want to pick up more on the way home.

Bright hazy yellow, big pillowy stark white head. Lovely spicy/peppery/yeasty citrus/lemon aroma. The flavor is very interesting. Lots of lemon (juice and rind), the yeastiness is a bit more muted than in most saisons but I guess this is meant to showcase the hop varietal. Super quencher with a long lovely lemon finish. It almost drinks like a funky less sour/sweet bubbly lemonade. Quite yummy and a great hot weather beer.

Very light straw color with big rocky head. Aroma of white bread, straw, fresh cut grass. Medium carbonation, fluffy mouthfeel. Very light and bright citrus - more lemon. Very slightly sweet, nice grassy hop, then finishes all funky belgian, a tinge of sourness, and a little sherry in th finish. Very interesting. Nice and refreshing, perfect for summer
