Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Bottle, gave a clear yellow-gold pour with a large white head, lots of effervescence n the glass, left decent white bubbled lacing on the sides of the glass that flowed away after a moment, this ale had bright lemon citrus aromas with flowers, dry yeast, a light pear sweetness with faint malt, white sugar, herbal and small earthy aroma, there were flavors of lemon citrus, light fruit and faint white sugar, light dry pale malt, finish is dry and crisp with some floral herbs after the finish, mouth feel is light and feels dry on the palate, finish is light and crisp, the lemon and floral herbal character of the beer really stands out, I thought these distinctions were interesting.

Had it on tap last weekend at Brooklyn Brewery with beerloco, mrs. beerloco, kplynch, deliriumfest, ms. deliriumfest, and DBhog. Appearance: Pale straw yellow, cloudy, with a nice 1 finger white crown that shows some lace and retention. Smell: A beautiful grassy lemony hop bouquet with a bready malt quality. Very refreshing and satisfying. Taste: same as the nose but with an added oak like note and more yeast presence. very nice! Mouthfeel: on the light side of medium bodied. Good amount of carbonation. A touch too light if anything, but pretty nice. Drinkability: I had 3 pints and wanted more! Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 09-24-2009

750mL courtesy of Peregrinari. Thanks for sharing this rarity. Pours a cloudy, super-light yellow with a small, dense, white head that leaves good lacing down the glass. Aroma is peppery, floral hops, old fruits. Taste is sticky fruits, tropical fruits, rich honey dew melon, massive yeast character. Palate is bubbly/spritzy.

Sample at Julio’s Spring Beer Fest (disclaimer - memory somewhat blurred after perhaps a few too many samples) Strong coriander taste. Good stuff overall.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark yellow color with a s white foamy head. Nose is peppery, heavy grass, lemony, kind of dry. Palate is full with a nice playfulness. Flavors are peppers, grass, dry notes, lemons, really quite pleasant, easily drinkable and enjoyable.

100ml from bottle served by Garrett Oliver himself. Pale yellow-golden body under a tiny, white layer. Mid-sweet aroma of floral fruits and wheat. Citric fruits in flavour supported by late banana, herbal hops and with a spicy twist to it all. Smooth bitter ending. Well balanced (Copenhagen Beer Festival, 08.05.2010).
