Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Bottle, bought @ Systembolaget, Halmstad.
Pours light golden with a big, staying, frothy, white head. Aroma has plenty of white pepper, bubblegum, mushrooms, apricot, crisp maltiness. Spritzy carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour is dry, crisp malts, still some bubblegum. Dry bitter, floral, peppery bitterness in the finish. One of the best Sorachi beers? Probabaly.

Aroma: Citrus peel, candied ginger, and grass fill my nose. Appearance: Ever so slightly cloudy. Straw gold with a bright white head that lingers. Tiny bubbles slowly migrate to the top of the glass much like champagne. Taste: Lemon. Lots of lemon. Very unique. Some grassy notes as well. There is a slight metallic character that comes in far behind the citrus. As the label states, "it tastes like sunshine in a glass", and I couldn’t agree more. Palate: Amazingly light for such a strong brew. Very well attenuated and dry without being thin. The carbonation is reminiscent of champagne. Overall: This is a good toasting beer as elegant as the label.

Absolutely Brilliant. This pours hazy yellow with smalls constant bubbles. Nice head. Aroma is just a tease for what is coming in taste. Taste is almost a creamy citrus...lemon/orange. It’s a bit sweet but perfect for this brew. The finish is fantastic. Dry and leaves you salivating for more. Sometimes you drink a beer that you never want to see end....this was one of those.

Bottled sample consumed at Avenue Pub. Gold in colour with strong carbonation. Aromatic profile starts with lemon-lime hops, crispy pilsner malt, and wraps up with some black and white pepper notes. The lemon-lime and dry pilsner malt character follows through on the mouth, picking up some wildflower honey and subtle spice elements along the way. Light bodied and dry on the palate. Very appetizing. One of the better North American takes on the style, although not quite to the level as Hill Farmstead.

The taste was mellow, yet so subtle and really good. Dry. The yeast is true to the description of this beer. A bit bubbly, pleasant and citric. I am not a big fan of this style of beer, however I do think this one is my top in the style at this time.

Nice light yellow lemony cloudily looks. Smells lemony and hoppy. You can taste the Lemmon and citrus

Bottle. Sorachi hop nose: vanilla, oak, citrus, suntan lotion, coconut. Fun and interesting. Deep gold, a bit cloudy, with lace. Sweet—very—with honey, fruits, solvent, coconut and lemon. Soft, smooth mouth. Fun and interesting, and very good, though a bit too sweet.

The sample I got popped and fizzed like champagne, but at least the fizzing wasn’t volcanic like some others I’ve tried. It pours a clear yellow with a thick white head, not impressive to me anyway, but I’m prejudiced towards dark beers, and as the old warhorse goes, you can’t judge a book by its cover - or a beer by its appearance. Aroma is much more promising than the appearance - strong, yeasty, fruity, with grassy and rubbery notes. Refreshing flavor has malty, fruity, yeasty and grassy notes with a hint like clean rubber - I get notes of apple and banana in the fruit. Texture is quite fizzy and lively, yet smooth and firm-bodied. Overall, pleasing and lip-smacking.

Pours golden with a large crisp white head with alot of pecks that stick to sides of the glass. The Flavors of lemon, yeast, cream, and spice. The palate is of light sweet dessert. This is one of the best brooklyn beer i have ever drank. Great beer you could drink this beer in any weather minus a cigar.
