Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

The aroma is unique with yeast, fruit, malt, spice, ginger, and flowers. The appearance is pale gold with a large head. The taste is like the aroma which is a bit complex. The palate is a bit thin but ok. Overall a nice beer. I am pleasantly surprised.

Bottle at Food & Wine festival at Madison Square park. Cloudy orange with soapy white head. heavy cirtus aromas and tastes of lemonpeel, grapefruit, hay, and pepper. very refreshing considering this party is being held in 100% humidity and 2,000 degree heat.

Bottle. Pours a hazy very light straw yellow color with a densely packed white sudsy foamy sticky head. Aroma is nice, subtle and balanced, clean and freshly stinky, lemon, lemon grass, grass, quite a bit of soap, nice. Alcohol plays a bit more part in this beer than it probably needs, although it is very well attenuated as a saison should be, biscuity, lemon, stinky green grass, could use a bit more yeast character and acidity, really dry, soda like, nice amount of bitterness, like tonic water, quinine, tastes like sorachi ace alright, but could definitely use more acidity. Light bodied, with ample tightly packed corse fizzy carbonation. Lemon cookie lacking acidity, bone dry. Has a bit of a white-wine taste.

Big white lacy head. Spicy aroma. Medium yellow body. Highly drinkable. Good brew. Not sure if it’s worth the $15 I paid for this bottle though.

Corked bottle.
Pours a deep, cloudy lemon orange with a pleasant aroma of spring lemon, light champagne soap, A nice white cloud top head sits contently atop the beer. Notes of citrusy clover and sweet flowers swirl around the nose as well. Flavor is floral lemon peel, light grapefruit, rosy hay, and barn dust. Tingly and fluffy on the tongue. Excellent beer; very well made.

This beer pours a cloudy yellow with a thick white head. The aromas are light vinegar, lemon zest and black pepper. The mouthfeel is dry with a slight spiciness. This was a great beer! Cheers!

Amazing aroma, huge grapefruit hops and citrusy spice. Normal look, but exceptional taste. Hop resins with traditional spicy saison flavours. Sparkling palate, semi-dry. Love the Sorachi hop, great beer.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a hazy straw gold color with a couple inch frothy white head. Head retention is excellent, with a decent amount of lacing too. Aroma is herbal and spicy hops, and some lemon peel. The taste is pretty much the same as the aroma, but there’s the addition of some grain/bready malt and peppery spice. There’s also a lingering bitter finish. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium with high but soft carbonation. The soft carbonation works great for this brew and makes it smooth and easy to drink. A pretty enjoyable brew overall, Brooklyn has a winner with this one!

Low marks on the nose, ’cause there was not alot going on there, but everything else was nearly perfect. A head that looked like it would float a coin. Smooth palate with the perfect dryness.
