COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

tap in brewery. clear yellow body with white lasting head. aroma is overwhelming - some lemon, spices, pine, pineapple and some pepper. Taste starts with a sharp piny bitterness, afterwards comes usual lemon, pineapple and spices. Has a good balance of maltiness. Very unique and excellent beer!

On tap at Datz Deli (Tampa, FL). Pours a generally clear golden yellow with massive white head that settles slowly. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of spice, pepper, bread, honey, caramel, light floral esters, citrus, some earthy and herbal notes. Flavor is sweet and spicy with notes of citrus, spice, honey, caramel, earth, yeast, grass, light citrus and floral esters. Generally light to medium body with a pleasing refreshing finish.

Draft @ redlight redlight. Pours a clear gold with a huge white head, tons of lacing. Big hoppy nose, lemons, spicy herbal hops, tangerine, lemon chiffon, a soft maltiness. A nice dryish lemony, floral hoppy, light maltiness, spicy yeast and a wonderful bitter finish. Fluffy in the mouth and fairly drying. Could be a litter dryer, but small complaint. Boy is this tasty. Quenching and totally drinks like a 4-5% beer. I quite enjoy sorachi ace hops, and Brooklyn’s made a nice saison to show them off. Hope to see this again, maybe in bottles?

Wow, surprised by this one. Golden yellow with a white head. Incredible aroma of herbal hops, lemons and fresh cut grass. Smells amazing. Floral flavors without a ton of bitterness, just smooth and herbal. Very good beer.

Growler. Aroma very lemony and herbal-spicy hoppy, bready malt, probably some additional spice notes from esters. Flavor continues to focus on elements seemingly from the hops (lemon and the spice character) along with other citrus and red fruits, pale malts. Quite dry. I didn’t feel the bitterness level worked terribly well in this one and resulted (or seemed to result to me) in an odd collision of grains with the bitterness. Still pretty good though.

drat @ Redlight Redlight. Pours golden, white head. Aroma of grassy hoppy with strong hints of lemongrass. The nose is fresh, citrusy and overly pleasant. Flavor, reminded me a lot of fresh green tea with a good dose of lemongrass, citrus, pine, some spices. Refreshing palate with an overall profile that’s not too bitter.

draft @ redlight redlight. Lemon basil on the nose, citrusy, spicy, mangos, very floral aromas. Pours cloudy yelllow gold with a very thick white head. Spicy, citrusy, lemon zest, black pepper, rose hips, mangos, dried papya, with some clove and somewhat piney aftertaste. The hop flavor reminds me of Oakham Asylum which was the first beer i had with sorachi ace. Great saison which was a great vehicle for the sorachi ace hops.

Poures hazy gold with white head. Nose is hopcitrus, spicy yeast, pale malt. Tastes pale malty, with spicy yeast and hopcitrus flavors. The flavors were subtle, and this one came across as a mixture of 50% saison and 50% gold ale, with the hop variety being a bit of a letdown.
