COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Pours light, bright gold with big white head. Aroma is clove, spice and yeast. Big, bready Belgian aroma without the tasts. Flavor is fruity, tropical with just enough sweet maltiness to balance it out and a slightly dry mild hop bitterness. I am impressed, and saison’s continue to grow on me lately. Nice warm weather beer that pairs well with summer food.

Bottle. Aroma of light spice, biscuit, light fruits. Very refreshing. Really easy to drink, goes great with food. Taste is a little bit of the spice, refreshing citrus flavours. Nice stuff, not necessarily worth the price but it does come in a fancy bottle.

So after years of seeing this only available in bombers I finally find it in a 12 ounce bottle. Here goes nothing:wheatgrass wheatgrass wheatgrass. It certainly did not help that I just had some really spicy Indian food before this. But I’m a chief. Hints of citrus. Yes, this is tasty, but I do not think this is 98th percentile tasty. With the name Sorachi, I expected something super spicy.

Very good farmhouse ale. Had in bottle. Very light and cloudy in color. Sweet aroma. A lot of carbonation which foams a bit on the palate. Great finish that is well balanced.

This is a "well made", full bodied beer with everything in order but I just don’t like the odd, cloying hops they use. Brooklyn is one of the best, but I guess I prefer their subtler beer. Also, at 7% its too hefty for a saisson, IMO. I want session beer in a farmhouse ale, not a club that beats my senses dull after 12 oz.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2015 Tap at rabbit hole in tulip with commonmac and willyP. Gold, effervescent, and thick white head and very very good lacing. Spicy and sweet nose. Very nice mouthfeel, some grassy and heavy pepper spice, maybe some citrus. Well balanced. Really good.

On draft at Whole Foods in Alexandria, VA. Golden yellow / bronze body with a white head. Aromas of lemon, melon, grass, floral hops, coconut, funky yeast. Smile flavor with mild bitterness and a lightly tart finish. Fairly light in body with a hint of warmin alcohol in the finish. Solid.
