COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

At Soba. Floral zasty lemon aroma. A slight bitterness from the hops. The lacing is perfect all the way down the glass.

Draft at Brixx Knoxville. Pours golden with a white head. Leaves some decent lacing. Solid lemongrass notes on the nose. Crisp and tart on the tongue with a bit of funk on the finish. Interesting interpretation of the style.

A very nice crisp. Pick up hints of the lemongrass and herbal flavors. Sorachi ace very forward and nice. A very solid beer!

Bottle shared by Eline @ Van Moll Brewpub. Lightly hazy yellow to light orange color, full sized white head that lasts for quite a long time. Aroma is lightly malts, sorachi ace is clearly present, lightly a hint of yeast. Taste lightly malts, some yeast again, sorachi ace again, a touch of orangepeel, slightly zesty, lightly a soft bitter finish. Decent body and carbonation with that 7.6% ABV pretty well hidden.

At a tasting, thanks Ariel, big almost gushing fluffy stable head, very cloudy palre orange color, aroma of rotten oranges, candid fruit and some spiciness, strong flavor of rotten oranges with hints of fruit and candy, light and a touch coarse bitterness and a light sweetness. Nice but not too interesting.

Bottle at Brian's in Brooklyn. Very hazy orange-golden pour with dense frothy head. Aroma is zesty spicy saison - orange and lemon peel with clove and cinnamon. Taste follows - very lemony zesty (sorachi ace?) and usual saison flavors. Crisp and bubbly (fine bubbles). Very solid saison but maybe not as special as I'd hoped.

Pours clear straw gusher of a head and tons of lacing. Nose is yeast and fruit. Flavours of apples, dough, maybe some peach and lemon and some great grassy bitterness. Taste is light sweet med/light bitterness. Medium body with lively carbonation. So drinkable.

Golden with huge foamy head. Good lacing. Aroma is orange, lemon and basically all other citrus fruits. Grapefruit, some lemongrass and some spicy saison. Fruity palate with average carbonation. Aftertaste is fruity, dry, spicy, alcohol, citrus fruits and lemon peel. Overall: Very nice single hop. I could drink tons of this.

2014/12/14 - Pours a hazy, golden-straw colour with a massive, soapy, white head that slowly reduces. Aroma is lemon citrus, funk, herbal hops and mild honey. Taste is similar to nose; lemon citrus, herbal hops, funk, light pepper and mild honey. Mouthfeel is light to medium with sharp carbonation and a, spiced, drying, citrus rind finish. Very enjoyable. Fellow Ratebeer guzzler & all around philosopher of the suds Helsdon (his review is two below mine) has been pushing this brew on me & man, is he right. Pops out of the bottle & into the glass a beautiful saffron yellow & offers a foamy cap of three -- no, jeez look -- four fingers. A quick action sip prevents spillage & wastage. This a fantastic saison with all the spices, pepper & funkiness you’d want. The bonus here is the bountiful Sorachi hopping. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Au nez, c'est frais, crisp et levuré. En bouche, on goute la levure, l'aneth et le miel. La finale est fraîche, assez courte et sèche. Bien joué ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
