Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2015 750ml bottle poured into shaker pint. Gushing foamy white head towers over clear yellow liquid. Some lacing is left after it settles. Aroma is of lemons, lemongrass, hay, grass, white pepper, spice, and cracker. Taste follows with the lemon flavors dominating and cracker-dry malts coming on the finish. A light body that?s inflated by the foamy mouth-filling foam, crisp and slightly creamy texture, highly carbonated, dry finish.

Cloudy yellow body. Big white head. Fresh aroma, citrus, orange, grass and light spicy notes. Flavour is crispy, hay, orange, light citrus notes, fairly sweet. Medium finish, slightly dry with champagne-like notes. I guess the campagne yeast at botteling time is for something. I guess it's a good season, not too fond of this style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours almost clear greenish yellow with medium, radiply diminishing white head. Aroma is dill, lemon, solvent, grass, herbs, dough and bit of barnyard. Medium malty, medium bitter, medium sour. Good medium long aftertaste with some tartness, slightly astringent. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Not my favorite saison, but different.
