COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Wow, what a fabulous beer! Served at proper temperature. Poured with a good sized, white, foamy, frothy head that lasts a while and a bit of lace. Color is a clear medium yellow. Aroma is yeast, fresh hop that smells like weed, malt, grain, fruit and a bit of citrus. Flavor is similar but with the hop tasting only like fresh hop; good pungency which is true to style and a little sweetness in there to balance it all. Body is perfect mouth filling and almost champagne carbonation. Finish is like flavor and short except for the great burps! Wish I had more to make it a session. This is superb!

Poured from a 750ml bottle into a tulip glass. A: Clear with a plenty of carbonation bubbles that meet a creamy 2 finger white head. S: Lemony, spicy, and yeasty with a nice clean wheat finish. T: Very bright tasting, lemon takes the cake with a piney hops finish. Very intense first sip that woke me up. M: On the light side with lots of carbonation. O: Excellent beer that I definitely wasn’t ready for. I really enjoyed it and would love to pick up another in Spring to enjoy on the first day of cutting the lawn of the year.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle into 15 oz. gold-rimmed Brooklyn Brewery-branded stemware. Pours an attractive hazy gold with a huge pillowy three finger clean white head that has almost supernatural retention. Leaves behind considerable lacing. Pleasant smells of bread and slight citrus dominate. Mild grassy and citrus flavors combine with an exceptionally creamy mouthfeel that finishes with just the right hint of spice. The refreshing flavors make this beer a joy to the tastebuds and the quinntesential warm weather saison. Truly a world class beer and one of the most original and highest quality saisons brewed by a American craft brewery. A must try.

I got this from the Growler Bar at Stony Brook Beverage. It was a tasty treat! It poured golden yellow, with a medium white head. The pleasant aroma made me think it was going to give me hoppy bite, but in turn was very mellow malty taste with a hint of lemon and other sweet fruits. Very easy to consume, was a great craft from Garret Oliver!

Elegantly packaged 750 ml corked and caged brown bottle. It pours an elegant clear yellow/gold with a billowing bright white head. It looks clean for the style, but it does look magnificent. The smell is a bouquet of springy fruit flavors. The hops give a huge lemony scent off to go along with the peachy, apricoty, spicy saison yeast. It has a touch of sugar in there too, smells like a summer breeze. This one has such a fruity flavor. Apricot, orange, lemon, maybe some melon, it is pure light fruity goodness. The malts here are also dynamite, they accent the yeast to perfection. There is a subtle bitterness but not overpowering that make sit even more of a refresher. With more tastes I’m getting some candied mango int eh flavor. The yeasty spice complements the fruit flavors, especially the peach exceptionally. They did this one right. It seems like American craft brewers have learned to perfect the Saison, I was enthralled by Sofie, this one takes my enthrallment to a whole new level. Love this saison...terrific lemongrass finish. Probably my fav from GABF ’10. Light, foamy head a sure result of the champagne yeast. Crisp, fresh finish with terrific mouthfeel from the carbonation. Happy just thinking about it...
