COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Bottle-date unknown-Pours very lite orange with a 1 inch foamy/fizzy white head with tons of carbonation rising to the top. I really want to like the nose here however, it comes across too much as lemon scented cleaner/air freshner. Lemon all over the place like pledge. flavors are very similar-lemon drop, band aid and a lite bready flavor. man, this could have been good if they used a more wild yeast strain that would have melded well with these stupid Sorachi Ace hops. I really dont like this hop variety at all. With all of this said, Brooklyn did a very fine job of bottle quality, corking and clean-ness of this beer. Most beers i have from this brewery are butter bombs (minus their awesome stout) but not here-definately top-notch in terms of making a beer thats not infected. long finish of cleaner. I really had high intentions of this being alot better and wish it was. however, keep up the good quality control Brooklyn and make more interesting beers.

Pint at Euston, London. Pours a yellow canary colour with a small white head. Aroma is lightly hoppy and mostly grainy and cereals, like rice. Taste is grassy and grainy with a sweet-acidic ricey note. Strange but pleasant. Body is thin with good carbonation. Overall, nice and interesting, but lacking the spicy yeasty true saison character to me.

pours golden with some cloudiness, very thick foamy head. aroma carries lemon, some yeast and pepper.. maybe a tiny amount of sweetness up front but otherwise pretty tart, acidic and dry.. crisp and refreshing

bottle. Very happy this beer is widely available and not as expensive now. It should be an every day kinda go to. Huge head on hazy yellow. Aroma just like the description...lemon rind and Belgian yeast and sweet grassy malt. Flavors are the same with a nice dry bitter middle and end on a soft yeasty palate.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle into 15 oz. gold-rimmed Brooklyn Brewery-branded stemware. Pours an attractive hazy gold with a huge pillowy three finger clean white head that has almost supernatural retention. Leaves behind considerable lacing. Pleasant smells of bread and slight citrus dominate. Mild grassy and citrus flavors combine with an exceptionally creamy mouthfeel that finishes with just the right hint of spice. The refreshing flavors make this beer a joy to the tastebuds and the quinntesential warm weather saison. Truly a world class beer and one of the most original and highest quality saisons brewed by a American craft brewery. A must try.

I sometimes read the commercial description of a beer and wonder if I’m really rating the same thing but "sunshine in a glass" sums this one up pretty nicely. Tangy zesty bright lemon pepper goodness.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Rotem’s place. Thanks Ariel. Hazy golden with frothy white head. Sour aroma, then a little flowery, very faint honey. Light bitterness, green taste. Light body, lively fizz, smooth finish. Cool.

A very good summer brew by Brooklyn. Pours cloudy golden with little head if poured in a tilted glass. citrus zest is in there, definitely a little hoppy. Delicious

FROTHINGSLOSH (3386) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2012
Sampled from a 750ml brown corked bottle this beer poured a very cloudy medium yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweetish citrus, cactus, pine and pepper. The flavor was sweet, tangy and bready with notes of citrus, cactus, agave, lemon and pepper. The finish was long with sweet cactus, lemon and pepper lingering. Fairly full bodied. Very nice.

Pours light orange with a thick white head. Aromas of lemon, tropical fruits, a touch of yeast. Wonderfully balanced body with a nice hop presence, flavours of pineapple, citrus and the belgian yeast comes out on the finish.
