Commercial Description:
Brooklyn Summer Ale is a modern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England throughout the 1800's right up until the 1940's. They were also called "luncheon ales" or even "family ales", because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light, crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition. FOOD PAIRING Excellent with salads, seafood, quiches, and lightly spicy dishes. It's also great at a brunch. SPECS Style: English Style Light Dinner Ale Malts: Two Row British Malts Hops: German Perle and American Cascade, Fuggle, and Amarillo Alcohol: 4.5% by volume Original Gravity: 11 Plato

Decent brew. Aroma is pleasant, floral hops, grains. The appearance is an attractive ruby/brown, white head. The flavor is floral, grainy. The finish is flowers, hops. Thin/medium mouthfeel. Decent, inoffensive.

Pours a light gold color with minimal white head and barely any lacing. Simple wheat aroma and taste with a hint of fruit. Very light bodied. This beer isn’t anything great, probably won’t get it again.

Poured out a bright gold with a large bubbly white cap that retains well and give a lot of messy lacing. Excellent aroma! Super fresh and lively, very complex with biscuit and some roast malts, lots of lemon, tangerine, sweet fruity candy and more... awesome! Breathe deep... repeat. Let ’er warm up a bit of course! The taste is not as good as it is on the mellow side but it is not a let down considering the style. Biscuit, grain, citrus and an interesting blend of bitterness perfectly placed.. all mild but good! The flavours are best found when not too warm. Mouth feel is good with ample carbonation. Seems to be nearest to light medium bodied. Malty finish. I sure changed my mind on this beer! Take this out of a glass, tards.

Pours a golden color with plenty of carbonation and a nice white head that disapates quickly. Has a heavily spiced aroma and taste, but still keeps its drinkability. Definitely a nice beer for the summer.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly opaque copper-gold color with a light white head. Floral aroma on pour which tapers off. Nice balance b/w the hops and malts. Light bodied. Pretty refreshing. Not bad at all.

Bottle best by Oct 2009. Poured golden with a thin white head. The aroma found wheat, toasted malts, and hints of citrus. The flavor had toasted malts and a citrus backing. Light to medium body.

Pours clear orange yellow with a decent white head. Aroma is yeast and other zesty spices. Taste is more dull with orange flavor, wheat, and yeast. Good body, good clean finish.
