COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Summer Ale is a modern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England throughout the 1800's right up until the 1940's. They were also called "luncheon ales" or even "family ales", because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light, crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition. FOOD PAIRING Excellent with salads, seafood, quiches, and lightly spicy dishes. It's also great at a brunch. SPECS Style: English Style Light Dinner Ale Malts: Two Row British Malts Hops: German Perle and American Cascade, Fuggle, and Amarillo Alcohol: 4.5% by volume Original Gravity: 11 Plato

Bottle into an ale glass. Pour is a orange yellow. Aroma is weak but is malt and some bitterness. Taste is a mix of smoothly put together malts. Finish is clean. I will look for this one in the heat of summer.

From my 3rd can out of 12 in the pack. 355ml can. Pours a relatively clear deep gold with a foamy white head that sticks for a bit and leaves nice lacing. The smell is decidedly fruity, some citrus too. The flavor is much breadier, almost helles-like levels. Sweet and pretzel-like. The hops return with just a bit of leveling spice, though this is sweeter than hoppy. There seems to be a melon flavor in there too.

On draft at Bottleshop with Taylor. Pours golden orange, clear. Aroma is thin marajuana hops, floral. Taste is soft light hops, very easy drinking, a bit resinous, citrus.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a bright golden orange colored body with a small white half finger head that died within thirty seconds. Some spotty lacing was left and trickled down the sides of the glass. Fast rising carbonation was seen. The smell was centered around a light sort of hops with some wheat and grains in the background. A bit of corn arose close to the end of the beer. The taste was based around the wheat with the grains and hops taking a slight background. Some light caramel came out. The palate was about a light to medium and sessionable. Carbonation is felt, a light creaminess came out as well. It left a dry feel in my mouth. Overall, this is not a bad beer. I think I would have this again, preferably on tap.

Lys med nesten ikke skum. Lukter svakt av gress og sitrus. Smaken er noe anonym men funker godt som tørsteslukker

Bottle @ Chriso’s pre-GBBF Shindig. The pour’s light gold with a small head. The aroma’s honeyed bread. Light grassy hop. Peachy flavors. Toasted grain. Citrus. Light body, soft carbonation. Nice, simple.

"Nice orange golden colored beer with a big foamy textured, white head rising robustly above. There’s good hang time. Settles into a medium sized ringlet. The nose light, but the profile on this one pretty straight forward. Biscuit malt and light grassy hops. Light -medium bodied and refreshing. "

Light hazy golden body and creamy head. Bit grainy, lightly caramelised, very clean yeast, lager appeal. Simple classic yet present hop style. Drinks like a non mass produced pilsner to me, to be honest. Okay and quite dry thus quaffable, but not amazing. Bit too filtered perhaps. (33cl bottle from Bootlegger)
